Best Bet: QUICK ASA TRICK N (1st) Spot Play: LETTUCEROCKTHEM A (2nd) MEET STATS: 15 - 57 / $102.90 BEST BETS: 3 - 5 / $10.30 Race 1 (3) QUICK ASA TRICK N showed a new dimension by rallying well from off the pace last week, and that was off over a month. He can win this with a similar effort. (2) LACHIE MAGUIRE N returns from The Meadowlands off an upset win and is clearly sharp but is facing tougher. (7) FOILED AGAIN obviously needs no introduction and he's going for win #100 tonight but faces an uphill battle from the outside post. Race 2 (5) LETTUCEROCKTHEM A never fired last week versus better but he likely needed the start and he can be ready to roll here facing softer. (1) SECRECY got torched in his last local effort but his prior two at this level were good. (4) BEYONDTHESILENCE N is a new Tritton import that must be followed, not only for tonight but for future weeks. Race 3 (1) ALBERTO CONTADOR N gets the important combo of class and post relief, plus he's now racing back on consecutive weeks; lots to like. (4) MACHTU N does fit with this type but it's sometimes difficult to predict what he's going to bring to the table from week to week. (2) OH JONNY B GOOD N gave way to pressure last week but he should be close up again from this spot. Race 4 (1) A SWEET RIDE benefitted from a crazy duel up front but he had plenty of fresh pace for his new barn last week. (2) STARSKY'S DREAM N got roughed up and can be excused for that effort last out; obviously he's capable of rebounding. (5) ESCAPE THE NEWS drops in for a tag tonight after closing well last week. Race 5 (6) TWIN B SPEEDO never got involved last week but he's facing some suspect rivals here and the Blumenfeld barn has gotten off to a decent start in 2018. (4) ELWELL drops in class off a needed start and her certainly makes sense here. (2) MACINTOSH N raced better last week for Vallee returning to his preferred venue. Race 6 (2) TAKE IT BACK TERRY totally failed to fire in his 2018 debut but he may have needed that start and he should be a bit closer to the front; classy Burke trainee would be no surprise here. (1) CAJON LIGHTNING ships up from Delaware in raging form, gets the best draw and deserves a long look. (2) MISSILE J was the talk of the town at the beginning of his 2017 season then finished up the year well; DiDomenico trainee figures to be a force going forward in the aged pacing ranks. Race 7 (3) ALL DOWN THE LINE raced very well last week and the Drolet trainee has proven he belongs with this type. (1) BEAT THE DRUM moves all the way back inside where he was a game second two back after being used hard. (2) RURAL ART has raced well since moving to the Auciello barn. Race 8 (4) ROLAND N ROCK had no chance versus better last week from a tough post off a month; he faces some good rivals here but the Harmon trainee still deserves top billing. (5) BETTOREVER rallied well off live cover in his local return for Bamond. (2) SEELEY MAN also raced well last week and the recent addition to the Burke barn may be the one to catch here. Race 9 (3) TECHTOR HANOVER closed a ton but ran out of ground in his 2018 debut and he may be close enough to strike from this spot. (1) MCSPIVEY was very sharp upon arrival for his new barn; he faces tougher here but was Stratton's choice. (5) MELMERBY BEACH can obviously win this, but we all know how frustrating it is to bet this guy. Race 10 (5) BETTOR ROCK ON N came back from the winter break in sharp form for the currently raging Lance Hudson barn and he can take this with any sort of smooth trip. (1) ROCK N ROLL LEGACY hasn't put in a bad effort since arriving locally for Team Bongiorno. (3) MACON GEORGIA A hasn't picked up a check since getting claimed for $50K by Bamond but he does seem to land in a better spot tonight. Race 11 (1) ORILLIA JOE was an easy winner last week and gets a free ride at this level. (5) SOTO couldn't handle a two-move uncovered effort last week but we know he's better than that. (2) PROVOCATIVEPRINCEN steps up off a game win for Tritton/Stratton; must include. Race 12 (3) MR RIGHT HANOVER was very game in defeat last week getting run over by a trip-sitter after doing all the work; price won't be as good tonight but he can certainly take this. (2) WESTERN HILL couldn't hack it at the Open level when he tired after a pretty stale effort; perhaps he shows more here down in class. (4) SHANE ADAM was awful last week but he's right back in and a better effort can be expected. [DRF HARNESS NEWSLETTER: Sign Up for the FREE DRF Harness Newsletter.
