MEET STATS: 362 - 1015 / $1990.10    BEST BETS: 48 - 79 / $159.90

Best Bet: SPECIAL FORCES (7th)

Spot Play: LUMBERJACK WILLIE (11th)

Race 1

(3) SIR ZIGGY'S Z TAM was aggressively handled and proved stubborn before tiring last week; another chance. (1) DIAMOND STAR gets post relief in his second local start and Sears sticks with him. (4) NEPTUNE returns locally and has always performed well over this track; Stalbaum chose him over The Pokester, whom he won with last week.

Race 2

(1) SIR MELO'S Z TAM drops, gets needs post relief and should trip out from this spot; could it be a Lachance 'Z Tam' double? (3) MR COOLIE should be forwardly placed from this spot. (4) TIDEWATER TEDDY is winless in 38 starts this year; use underneath.

Race 3

(4) CONNERY BLUE CHIP has had tough uncovered trips in his last two yet has hit the board in both; four-year-old is sharp and can take this with a better trip. (1) STONEBRIDGE TONIC gets another rail draw and was Bartlett's choice of five in here; got to respect that. (5) COLE HEAT is an interesting shipper for Julie Miller; he lacks the class of others in here but arrives off a game win in his latest.

Race 4

(3) RAFFERTY HANOVER steps up to face tougher but he was sharp in victory last week and a repeat isn't impossible. (5) LYONS JOSEPHJNR gets some post relief and figures to be more involved. (1) OUR CULLENSCROWN N has missed a few weeks but he certainly fits with these.

Race 5

(4) GOBAN drops in class and he looks like he has no excuse to fail from this spot. (8) FOUR STARZ TRACE also drops and would be the top pick if not for the post. (2) LOLAS CRUISER has shown some renewed life recently for Laterza.

Race 6

(8) PAN FROM NANTUCKET has been razor-sharp in all recent efforts. He rallied well for second last week from the eight hole after following a live flow and the price should be healthy enough to take a shot with him. (1) KEYSTONE VELOCITY has talent, gets the best draw but needs an alert getaway. (4) CHINA GRILL does have an excuse from last week's race but he may be tailing off.

Race 7

(1) SPECIAL FORCES held firm after a rugged uncovered trip upon arrival and he clearly looks like the one to beat from this spot. (2) ROCK TO GLORY was second best to the sharp Dallenbach Hanover last week; no shame in that. (3) BLATENTLY BEST has been solid in his last two races; I'm surprised to see Holland opt off.

Race 8

(3) SHOW ME UP made a bold late move only to get outfinished by a rail-sitter last week; gelding has been super since the Fraley claim and he should graduate tonight. (2) DREAM OUT LOUD N was shuffled in the Open last week; he should perform better in this spot. (1)  THE BRUISER was overmatched in the winners over at Philly; back where he belongs.

Race 9

(3) LIGHTNING RAIDER N is one of many veterans from the Vallee barn that doesn't win often but consistently makes money; he takes a needed drop in class tonight and is worth a look. (1) SAULSBROOK FAME draws best, has Sears driving and should attract attention from the bettors. (6) KINDS LEGEND has hit the ticket in his last two at this level.

Race 10

(7) VILLAGE BEAT is stuck outside, but he faces a rather flat group tonight and he's capable of leaving the gate hard. (6) ROADWAY returns to Sears, and they teamed up two back for a solid effort. (2) SAND BENELLI has hit the ticket in his last three and he draws well again. (3) SOMETHING FOR DOC will be considered the bust of the decade if he doesn't turn things around quickly.

Race 11

(2) LUMBERJACK WILLIE didn't have the easiest of trips from the eight hole last week; he really impressed in his local debut two back. (1) HI HO STEVERINO is always a threat from inside posts. (4) REAL SPECIAL has really done little wrong in his last three local efforts.

Race 12

(1) ALED HANOVER was outfinished late after a good eight hole try last week. Gelding is down a notch in class and draws best; trips out in the finale. (5) ARACACHE HANOVER finally delivered last out; can the Burke trainee repeat or will he burn more money? (2) FOREST VIC A has still got the goods at his advanced age; he'll save ground here and look to rally late.
