Best Bet: IDEAL JIMMY (9th) Spot Play: BADIX HANOVER (4th) MEET STATS: 452 - 1284 / $2,445.90 BEST BETS: 62 - 109 / $205.20   Race 1 (7) PROVEN DESIRE may need some help from this spot but the Allard trainee was a winner when last at this level and he meets a field with some questionable speed types. (2) AMERICAN VENTURE hasn't been bad recently and he should be close up throughout. (1) SAPPHIRE CITY returns from Philly off two solid efforts but he just can't be trusted at a short price. Race 2 (3) MACH PRIDE makes his second start now in the DiDomenico barn and failed to get involved last week but he finished with pace; worth a long look in this questionable field. (2) BLAISE MM HANOVER has been ok off the Annunziata claim and he draws well enough with Merton driving. (4) SEELEY MAN may try getting aggressive early from this spot. Race 3 (5) PANCHESTER UNITED had no chance last week but was rock-solid in his prior two tries at this NW20000 for a very live barn. (3) SWING CITY raced very well in his local return and was Brennan's choice. (1) FAMEOUS WESTERN needed last week's start and gets major post relief. Race 4 (2) BADIX HANOVER was actually very good last week holding gamely to the wire to be second best to the odds-on choice after getting stung early; Garcia-Herrera trainee draws well in this pretty soft NW20000 race. (4) ONE TO DRAW TO responded to a sharp Bartlett steer to beat lesser last out and he's driving again. (3) KEYSTONE HONOR makes his fourth start back from vacation and can have more to offer. Race 5 (6) BETTOR ROCK ON N has been racing gamely for a barn that's been firing on all cylinders lately; he may need some help from this spot but should be a reasonable enough price. (2) MEMORY GAME raced evenly last week off the sick scratch and he can probably be considered the horse to beat from this spot. (1) SOME PLAYA has been close up in his last two tries at this level. Race 6 (6) AMERICANPRIMETIME has evolved into a very versatile aged performer and Merton gets along perfectly with him; he gets the worst of the '2 through 6' draw but that should help his price. (3) WINDSONG LEO bottomed out from the pocket upon hiking to this level but his prior starts were too good to ignore. (5) THREE OF CLUBS rode the rail last week and picked up a minor share; perhaps Sears tries to get aggressive with him tonight despite the presence of some inside speed. Race 7 (6) BIT OF A LEGEND N returns from stakes action at Rosecroft where he had no realistic chance; the fact that he's not banished outside makes the Tritton trainee the default selection. (4) THE REAL ONE remains in good form and lands a good post but it's tough to have confidence sending it in on him. (3) ORILLIA JOE has been really good in his last three starts; include. Race 8 (4) FEEL THE NEED A hasn't put in a bad effort in some time and appears way overdue. (3) HERE WE GO AGAIN has dead game in defeat last week and the oldtimer still has what it takes to compete at high claiming levels. (2) PAPPY'S PAL did win last week but that was a much easier spot; don't accept too short of a price. Race 9 (6) IDEAL JIMMY is a nose and a neck shy of a three race winning streak at the Open 4YO level and Holland should try getting aggressive early in a race without a ton of early speed inside of him. (4) WESTERN DYNASTY gets needed post relief and looks like a live player. (5) RODEO ROCK has quietly had a very nice season and should be able to land a share from this spot. Race 10 (1) ROLAND N ROCK is up in class off a loss, but that was a solid effort in defeat and he's handled this type in the past. (3) ALOTBETTOR N moves back inside and gave it an aggressive try two back from a similar spot. (6) BLOOD BROTHER would be the clear choice had he drawn inside; Bartlett may have to get on the move early. Race 11 (1) MACON GEORGIA A has been super off the $30K claim five back and the best draw here makes him the one to beat again. (5) BEAT THE DRUM had an awful trip last week but refused to give in; sharp sort must be included. (3) WINDS OF CHANGE makes his third start off the bench and it's time to start showing more. Race 12 (2) MR RIGHT HANOVER has been going well of late and last week he did the best he could off a poor trip; he's worth trying at a price in a race with vulnerable favorites. (3) ANOTHER DAILY COPY could not last off a well-rated trip last week; he still rates highly, however. (4) THEARTOFCONFUSION A has proven he's a notch below Open-caliber and he had no chance from the eight hole last out; he can garner a share from this improved post.
