Yonkers: Saturday 11/1 Analysis

Email

MEET STATS: 31 - 108 / $171.90  BEST BETS: 5 - 9 / $18.40

Best Bet: SHORTSTACKED (5th)

Spot Play: AMERICAN RAGE (10th)

Race 1

(1) ATLAS ALLIANCE N finally draws well after a string of poor posts. Veteran is in the perfect spot tonight. (6) K SLATER drops back down to his preferred level and faces a pretty weak group. If Dube fires him off the gate he’ll have a huge chance. (3) BITTERSWEET CHAMP has displayed speed in the past and this may be a good spot to leave hard.

Race 2

(6) P L FIGHTER raced well off the claim for a top barn and can build off that effort. (1) LITTLE PRINCE was moved to trainer Richard Banca by fellow trainer Rene Allard—probably due to poor performance. Whatever the reason, this guy improved nicely and now draws the best post. (2) STONEBRIDGE TONIC bumps up off a nice effort and should stick close to the action.

Race 3

(2) NEPTUNE is back at Yonkers where he was a winner the last time in for this condition. Ignore the morning line; this guy has a shot. (1) HI HO STEVERINO figures to find some early speed with the move to the rail. (4) SOMETHING FOR DOC gets class relief and should be a part of the exotics at the very least.

Race 4

(1) CAVIART KEY drops down and draws best. This barn does well on class drops. (2) STONEBRIDGE ADAM hasn’t raced since May but appears best. If he is ready, he’ll win. (5) KIWI IDEAL N needs some pace help but is certainly capable.

Race 5

(1) SHORTSTACKED came home awfully fast and barely gained an inch last time. Now he draws the rail and adds Brennan; all systems go! (2) TYE SEELSTER should push away with the top choice and chase him around the track for a good check. (7) BURKENTINE HANOVER arrives from Plainridge in fine form, but he draws outside and faces tougher.

Race 6

(5) MYSTICIAN was in a bit too tough last time. He should be firing in this spot. (7) ARACACHE HANOVER couldn’t handle some upper echelon foes in the Kane; this is easier. (4) LIFE UP FRONT has some early speed and used it to be second best at this level last time.

Race 7

(2) BET THE MOON drops down for the dynamic duo of Burke and Brennan. (6) DALLENBACH HANOVER is another taking a step down; has early speed. (1) BIG JER was a winner when last seen at this level.

Race 8

(1) HERE WE GO AGAIN gets the class and post relief daily double on Saturday. I’m expecting Jason Bartlett to get aggressive. (4) MALAK USWAAD N is very sharp now. (5) SAFE HARBOR continues to drop in search of some better form.

Race 9

(5) FAMEOUS WESTERN steps down the class ladder for the third straight week. He’s been keeping up nicely from outside posts versus the better company and figures to be very live tonight. (2) ROCKSTAR TEMPER has been a new horse since entering the Burke barn. (1) HILARIOUS HALO has every right to get a big piece from the cones. (7) VALIDUS DEO & (8) SOURCE OF PRIDE are both capable but drawn outside.

Race 10

(2) AMERICAN RAGE finally gets a good post to work with tonight. This isn’t an easy field, but he is more than capable of winning. (6) SAPPHIRE CITY missed five weeks of action and was understandable short. This is the type of field he usually jumps on and wires. (1) GOOD DAY MATE has dangerous early speed from the pylons.

Race 11

(2) RAMPAGE JACKSON gets a better post to work with and drops one level for a high percentage barn. (6) RUSSLEY RASCAL N comes off a win, has early speed and adds Brennan. (5) ROCK ON MOE has been consistent of late.

Race 12

(3) VILLAGE BEAT won in his last start at this level. He should be leaving hard off the gate and sit no worse than second. (7) SIR ZIGGY’S Z TAM is dangerous if Lachance can work out a trip. (1) GLASS PRINCE should secure position from the inside.
