Yonkers: Monday 9/17 Analysis

MEET STATS: 258 - 786 / $1349.30

Best Bet: ROADWAY (10th)     Spot Play: LONG STORY SHORT (6th)

Race 1

(5) SHARK DRESSED MAN is still sharp and this looks like a spot where he can grind his way to the top and take care of business. (1) GOING NATIVE should be able to protect good position from the rail. (6) BETHS BOY N is good to go in this class, but he may have a tough time with the speed types inside of him.

Race 2

(5) VICTORS COWBOY JOE raced well upon arrival and he can build off that effort. (3) BUCKEYE MAN drops a notch and appears very logical in this spot. (1) SCHALOM G tumbles in class and draws best, but he's not for me.

Race 3

(1) ALL TRICKED OUT tried to speed-blitz a better field last out and he faded badly; he's back at the winning level tonight. (3) LUCKY LAND doesn't appear to have much else to beat here for second. (4) LADYS BAG MAN returns from Philly, where he posted an upset victory.

Race 4

(8) S F CIRO is back at the level where he's been a steady earner. Veteran has the gate speed to overcome the poor post. (5) IMA SPUR has back class, which is bound to resurface eventually. (1) HASTE draws best and can land a share for Mike Forte.

Race 5

(3) RELENTLESS DREAMER has raced well in all recent starts and Brian Sears sticks; worth a play in this wide-open event. (2) SCOTTY MACH N ships back and he's faced better in the past. (1) DOUBLESHOTASCOTCH is easily the most seasoned and classiest here.

Race 6

(5) LONG STORY SHORT is back with Harmon and if the wacky trotter stays straight he will destroy this group. (1) CANACO QUIZ ships in off a nice wire-to-wire victory upstate. (6) HARDROCKENJESSICA was a well-driven winner last out.

Race 7

(1) THE REAL TONE raced well for second upon arrival, then had no chance last out; from the rail tonight she's worth a look. (3) VEGAS STARLET ships from Pennsylvania and looks like a good fit here. (4) BULLVILLE ANA was blasting hard from the gate when she broke last out.

Race 8

(3) IDEAL IKE had plenty of pace in traffic last out; Erv Miller trainee can take this with any sort of live trip. (1) ROCK ON MOE ships in from Canada, has Sears driving and shows plenty of speed; interesting. (2) RUTHLESS ACE has been competitive with better than these in the past.

Race 9

(4) SPARKY drops in class tonight and that may be just what the doctor ordered. (3) VESUVIO GRANDE has been racing well week in and week out for the Buter outfit; Bartlett drives tonight. (2) LIGHT UP THE SKY was reclaimed by DiDomenico and he gets post relief.

Race 10

(3) ROADWAY drops back to the 30K claiming level, where he was a strong winner in his last two; seems pretty logical to me. (4) YA GOTTA GO debuts for Casie Coleman and he can rebound from that last disaster. (5) ARTIC STRETCH chased a runaway winner in last.

Race 11

(3) TYS A BIG STAR fizzled out on the front end last week; veteran is clearly better suited for off-the-pace tactics. (1) ART FOR ARTS SAKE has speed, the rail and the back class to contend here. (4) ROADSIDE DELIGHT showed in that qualifier that he could be ready for action.

Race 12

(5) MOMMA ROCK is perfect since Banca took over and there doesn't appear to be anything standing in her way tonight. (1) PARTY DREAM hasn't been that bad in her last two and she's worth a look underneath. (8) KATHERINE B is capable of blasting from the gate.
