Yonkers: Monday 9/16 Analysis

Race 5 - $10,000 Guaranteed Pick Five Pool

MEET STATS: 279 - 784 / $1568.60

BEST BETS: 38 - 61 / $128.90

Best Bet: HE’S WATCHING (4th)

Spot Play: TONIGHTS THE NIGHT (11th)

Race 1

(2) BIG BOY DREAMS was a blowout winner in last and he has a post edge on main rival (5) DESIGN GURU. The latter was bottomed out by He's Watching last out; he was a winner in his lone local appearance. (3) SIR SAM'S Z TAM looks best of the rest.

Race 2

(2) HOWE'S MAGIC has improved with Lasix added and Sears drives tonight. (3) CHA CHA MAGIC needs to stay trotting, if she does then she's a big threat. (7) CHOCOLATE DELIGHT has looked good in his last two for Hegdal.

Race 3

(3) IDEAL FASHION has steadily improved in his last couple and this appears to be the weakest of the three NYSS divisions; worth a play. (1) TWIN B SPEEDO draws best and was Sears' choice of three. (2) MAJOR TRICK looks like a player from this spot; Morrill won with him twice already.

Race 4

(5) HE'S WATCHING has been simply unbelievable in his brief career. He's creating plenty of buzz in the industry and the bargain-basement purchase looks deserving of his 1/9 status in here. (2) ALL BETS OFF gets Brennan tonight for Burke; second best. (6) STAY UP LATE may be done in by the poor draw.

Race 5

(5) BANK PRESIDENT has missed plenty of time but it wouldn't shock me if he was ready at first asking. (2) TOUCHDOWN FRANCO is a good fit at this level but he's tough to take at a short price. (6) THE PEARL is back down in class and should be more involved.

Race 6

(4) DILIGENT PROSPECT was a game third in a 250K race last out; filly stands out here. (1) JET ANGEL draws best after that big eight-hole try. (3) LOOKOUT STOKK ZONE finished very willingly last week; Stratton gets the return call.

Race 7

(4) POWER OF A MOMENT drops in class and gets needed post relief. He had a couple of good efforts here last month. (2) MAYFLOWERMOONSHINE gets Sears back in the bike and they teamed up for a good effort two back. (6) BONDY N may be best but he doesn't have much current form.

Race 8

(1) ORIENTAL CARPET has been hard to fault in all recent efforts; he draws best here in this evenly-matched field. (4) SALEVSTER STALLION was used hard and collapsed in his return to the Watson barn; he can be a threat with a smoother go of it. (5) MC DYNAMITE is up in class off the claim after closing a ton in his last two.

Race 9

(5) ELECTROFIRE qualified very effectively off that lame scratch; co-owner Dave Miller hangs around to drive. (4) WELLTHEREYOUGO has been super in his last two. (2) OUREA NOURRIR broke late while in traffic last week; Burke charge gets post relief.

Race 10

(5) CLEM has been first or second in his last eleven starts; hard to overlook that. (1) ROCKNDREAM gets needed post relief off last week's rugged try. (4) LUCKY MCTRUCKY drops in for a tag and he's got early speed.

Race 11

(2) TONIGHT'S THE NIGHT drops back to the level of his last win. He draws well again and Sears is back driving. (3) BETTORS ARENA gets needed post relief and he should be more involved. (6) ER ROOM debuts for another new barn and he was shuffled out last week.

Race 12

(2) IN THE WHEELHOUSE has done nothing recently up in Canada but maybe the change in scenery will help her out. (1) MY SWEET MANDY draws best and should be live from this spot. (6) GIANNA'S DELIGHT has been much-improved since the addition of Lasix.
