Yonkers: Monday 9/10 Analysis

MEET STATS: 255 - 761 / $1335.10

Best Bet: TOP DOC (9th)      Spot Play: ARDENS STORM N (10th)

Race 1

(3) PARAMELONS HANOVER has been overmatched versus Stakes foes out of town; this should be an easier spot. (4) DRAGONS JOJO looks like the one to beat, but she is an 0-fer on the year. (2) MY QP DOLL gets Sears in the bike, draws well again.

Race 2

(1) MONTANACHAMPIONNE is way overdue and this looks like a now-or-never spot. (6) VICTORS COWBOY JOE flashed good speed versus better two back. (4) RYDEABOUT is clearly feeling good now.

Race 3

(5) FASTER FASTER wasn't Sears' choice, but the filly gets a pretty worthy replacement in Morrill; she could be a closing threat if she minds her manners. (1) ROAD BET would appear pretty logical from this spot. (4) JK BLACK BEAUTY impressed in her career debut.

Race 4

(1) SILK PAJAMAS was a solid winner in her lone local appearance, as was (3) FREETIME; I give the edge to the Burke charge departing from the rail. (2) EXCLAMATION looks a notch below the top two, but best of the rest.

Race 5

(2) GIVE ME AN AMEN draws well and has a nice record for top connections. (4) BRUSSELS HANOVER has been a steady commodity; completes chalky exacta. (1) MOLLIE MILE looks next best from the rail.

Race 6

(1) HIT THE CURB draws best and looks like she can hold her own with a likely pocket trip behind (4) SUMMERTIME LEA. The latter's lone defeat came here a few weeks ago. (2) SEE MAJOR can sit a three hole and land a share.

Race 7

(7) BOX CAR JOHNNIE drops to the basement and has the speed to overcome the post. (2) SAMS TREASURE has shown some signs of life recently. (6) IWANNABESEDATED is an obvious fit at this level.

Race 8

(3) BLACK HAT loomed boldly but hung when it counted last week; another chance. (2) BOMBAY AWAY was a solid runner-up in last with the owner in the bike; tonight it's Sears. (6) SIR HOWIES T ZAM may have been overbet last week, but he came through; it will be tough to repeat tonight.

Race 9

(1) TOP DOC stays at the same level off two easy wins, lands the rail and looks every bit like a 1/9 shot. (7) COREY ROAD had some pace in his debut for Cassar, unfortunately he's stuck outside again. (4) MOSEE TERROR drops in class and really should show more.

Race 10

(8) ARDENS STORM N debuts for live connections via claim and don't expect Brennan to be sitting last here. (2) VESUVIO GRANDE has been a steady commodity at this level for Team Buter. (5) MILITARY STRATCOM may have tailed off, then again, maybe not. What do I know?

Race 11

(2) PERSUASIVE HANOVER looks like she may be a touch faster than my personal favorite (1) AFRICAN QUEEN, who hung for all the money last out off a dream trip. (5) SWASH HANOVER was barely defeated in a tough beat in last.

Race 12

(4) FOUR CORNERS has shown steady improvement in all of his starts since returning from vacation; consider here at a price. (7) OUR CROWN LAW N looks like a promising import for Asher/Stalbaum; do we need to see one? (8) PANFERMIN FESTIVAL drops in class but picks up Brennan; I bet there will be a tuck waiting for him along the way.
