Yonkers: Monday 8/4 Analysis

MEET STATS: 227 - 660 / $1185.20  BEST BETS: 39 - 54 / $126.10

Best Bet: MARKET RALLY (7th)

Spot Play: COLUMBIA LION (6th)

Race 1

(2) PALMS BEACH had some belated pace last out upon arrival and he draws well again in this weak field. (5) EAGLE NOW has plenty of back class but his last two have been dreadful. (7) GREYSTONE CASH is a shell of his former self but his best can take this.

Race 2

(1) AVALICIOUS broke when last seen here but if she can stay flat I think she's the best. (4) GLOWNGOLD was a sick scratch last week in a NYSS event; that's cause for concern. (2) CUTUP HANOVER raced well at big odds two back.

Race 3

(7) WATT A SWEETHEART has been facing tougher with limited success and Morrill drives again; possible price play. (1) TRISH appears pretty logical from this inside spot. (3) AFTER RANDI gets Bartlett in the bike and has good speed.

Race 4

(2) JULMYRA has been forwardly placed in most events and the filly appears to be well-mannered; Sears drives. (3) CREDIT TO ELGIN was a good second last week in an overnight event. (5) SWEET JESSE T drops to the lower rung of Excelsior competition.

Race 5

(6) GEORGETOWN N has been solid in his three starts since returning and clearly Stalbaum gets along well with him. (3) VODKA IS TERROR was second best to a runaway last out and he drops back down in class tonight. (4) MR SHADOW debuts for new connections via claim and he merits serious respect.

Race 6

(7) COLUMBIA LION raced very well from an impossible spot last out; Garcia-Herrera trainee looks solid in here despite another poor post. (1) HARDROCKENJESSICA was game in defeat in her local return and is impossible to leave off of any tickets. (8) BIG SEA LIGER fits well in here but is stuck in the eight hole.

Race 7

(4) MARKET RALLY is tons the best in here; short price looming. (1) ANNIES LIST misbehaved two back leaving from the rail spot; all other efforts have been good. (2) DRIVING MISS CRAZY will be right up near the pace if she stays flat.

Race 8

(2) DREAM BALL picked up Bartlett last out and got the job done; chance to repeat. (1) FLYING NUN will benefit greatly from the post relief. (6) GENTLEMENS DELIGHT drops out of NYSS competition; personally I hate using these types on top.

Race 9

(4) PALM BEACH has been facing better out of town and she picks up Carlson in her return; maybe she can complete the `Palm Beach' double (see race 1). (1) JANINNE hung a bit last out; prior efforts were good. (2) AINT NO MAYBE SO has been flashing good speed out of town.

Race 10

(1) YO CHEYENNE ROCKY held surprisingly well after a brutal trip upon dropping to this level; lots to like tonight from this spot. (3) SON OF FERGIE A finally delivered the goods for Vallee; clearly capable of repeating. (2) WAYNE THE LEFTY drops to a new low off some dull efforts.

Race 11

(3) THE WAY I AM really has done little wrong since arriving from Indiana; the post relief helps tonight. (4) MASSIVE TALENT is the X-factor shipping from Mohawk and the three-year-old shows a good effort over the half a few starts back. (2) SMOKE SMORE has flashed good speed if nothing else.

Race 12

(6) BREATHTAKING seeks fourth straight and would be no surprise if she chalks it up in the finale. (5) SENTIMENTAL LADY was second best to the top choice last out. (4) FANTICIPATION burned all the money in last start when she backed up with broken equipment; obvious threat if you ignore that line.
