Yonkers: Monday 8/27 Analysis

MEET STATS: 237 - 713 / $1192.00

Best Bet: TOP DOC (6th)    Spot Play: POINTE OF HONOUR (5th)

Race 1

(1) SAKURA draws best in this dreary field; maybe. (7) SIR LBS Z TAM needs an alert getaway and she'll be trouble. (3) THE REAL TONE could show improvement.

Race 2

I mentioned a few weeks ago that (2) RYDEABOUT was showing signs of life. Last week he rallied nicely for second; veteran should build off that effort. (5) SPRING FLING may be leaving the gate. (1) WINDSUN BELLAGIO hasn't done much since that curious claim.

Race 3

(8) WHATNBLAZES was a good third versus better last out; the eight hole will provide value tonight. (6) LONG STORY SHORT is erratic, but a closing threat. (7) S F CIRO has been a good money earner recently.

Race 4

(4) LILYS HI HO jogged last week for `top' connections; again. (1) STEUBEN N was a winner last time he faced 15K claimers. (5) SHARK DRESSED MAN was in a bit tough last out; he can threaten against these.

Race 5

(2) POINTE OF HONOUR has a class and seasoning edge against most of these. (3) CHIP AND RUN returns to Sears, draws decently. (1) LINDYS FAST TRACK draws best of the three-year-old shippers.

Race 6

(4) TOP DOC returned to the Coleman barn and jogged; repeats. (3) LYONS ELITE gapped and was never a threat at odds-on versus the top choice; look for improvement tonight. (2) SHOWTIME SHARK inherits the rail and should be close.

Race 7

I'm going to keep riding (2) AFRICAN QUEEN until she comes through for me. (3) HOWARDS NOBLE LADY gets the driver change of the year to Brennan; enough said. (4) SWASH HANOVER gets needed post relief.

Race 8

(2) MOMMA ROCK is streaking for Banca and she gets top billing in this competitive field. (4) AIR GUITAR HANOVER ships in for Toscano after moderate success out of town. (3) PERSUASIVE HANOVER was a good second upon arrival.

Race 9

(5) FOX VALLEY TYRESE qualified effectively for his new barn and the veteran can flash speed from this spot. (3) ECKSTROM is clearly on the cusp of a victory. (1) BRICKYARD BREWER gets some class relief, draws best.

Race 10

(8) DVCFLYINGFRENCHMAN used to be a killer when Brennan drove for Pena; since being claimed by the suddenly unstoppable Cad Gregory, this veteran has predicatably turned it around. Down the road from post eight. (1) ROADWAY jogged versus 30's, can he handle this class? (2) MONEY TWITCH A has ability and should be close enough to be a factor.

Race 11

(7) MILITARY STRATCOM has had pace in practically every start this year, and now he drops in class. He's capable of overcoming the outside post. (3) ALL TRICKED OUT has raced well for Fraley. (6) VESUVIO GRANDE has been a steady check-earner for Buter.

Race 12

(3) ROCKSTAR TEMPER steps back down the ladder tonight, and he was a good second two back from this post. (7) BLACK HAT looks like a speed threat from Burke. (4) TYLER HANOVER has speed and some class, consider at a price on your tickets.
