Yonkers: Monday 8/20 Analysis

MEET STATS: 230 - 689 / $1143.50

Best Bet: HI HO STEVERINO (10th)    Spot Play: GOTTA LUV IT (4th)

Race 1

(6) MOVE ON dropped to this level and was a game two-move winner; classy vet should repeat. (2) DONTAKEYOURGUNS returns to the basement level and is a perfect fit with these; threat to go wire-to-wire. (3) BIG BAMBU gets some needed post relief.

Race 2

(7) A JS SEND MONEY isn't much anymore but neither are any of these; gelding is a possiblility at a nice price. (3) SPRING FLING is a front-end threat. (5) RYDEABOUT has shown some signs of life recently.

Race 3

(1) BOX CAR JOHNNIE drops, draws best and is a threat to go all the way. (6) LILYS HI HO had too far to come last out; will the same scenario play out again tonight? (3) FREEDOM SOLDIER drops and picks up Sears.

Race 4

(4) GOTTA LUV IT had two impossible eight-hole journeys since arriving; this is a spot where the mare can prove competitive with these. (5) SPECIAL EDDIE is accustomed to facing better. (1) CALL ME MADAM has been close up in her last two for Ray Baynes.

Race 5

(1) WINDSUN BELLAGIO didn't fully fire in his debut for new connections, but he did go faster than he's accustomed to; he'll loom large here if he minds his manners. (5) NOWERLAND FIREBIRD appears pretty logical from these connections. (6) DRILL SERGEANT SAM has speed and returns to a professional driver.

Race 6

(2) DARTAGNAN qualified in good order and he can be a threat here if Brennan secures the pocket trip. (1) ARTIC ESCAPE will try to go wire-to-wire for his second straight. (3) WYNSUM MAGIC is another who proved in that qualifier that he's ready for action.

Race 7

(2) TINYS MILLION has been facing better than these recently with limited success and he looms a big threat from this spot. (5) RUNAWAY FIRE A was racing well from tough posts, except for his last start, where he flattened; Brennan drives tonight. (1) YUMA HANOVER drops and gets needed post relief; threat with Sears.

Race 8

(5) KINDLE HANOVER tightened well last week; this barn is having success with these recent purchases. (3) SIR SYNC Z TAM showed plenty of life in her debut for Josh Green. (1) KATHERINE B has plenty of speed and she could hang around for a share.

Race 9

(1) SHARP WEST HANOVER should be able to get the job done from this spot; gets the reluctant call here. (2) WISHER is an obvious threat to go all the way. (6) WINBAK FOX appears to have a class edge on the rest of these.

Race 10

(1) HI HO STEVERINO was reclaimed by Fraley off a solid speed score; repeats. (7) MILITARY STRATCOM ran into a monster last week but he was a good second; gelding has been sharp for ages. (5) SPARKY is capable with these on his best day.

Race 11

(2) ALFREDSSON has had some bad luck in his last two off the claim; we know he can pace in under 1:52, which he did a few back from a similar post. (4) REPORT FOR DUTY N looks like the probable favorite here. (1) WESTERN CHURCHILL has the rail and will certainly be looking to protect position.

Race 12

(1) UP FRONT SHARON looks like she may be a touch faster than these. (2) AFRICAN QUEEN is a nice earner and she will get over the hump eventually. (4) WORKING STIFFS gets a notable driver change to Brennan.
