Yonkers: Monday 8/11 Analysis

MEET STATS: 235 - 684 / $1227.20  BEST BETS: 41 - 56 / $131.30

Spot Play: BOOTS N BOURBON (7th)

Race 1

(5) AARONS MATTJESTY plunges in class after being bottomed out versus better; gelding is capable of a good bounce-back effort. (3) PASS THE DECK wasn't awful last out and the fourteen-year-old gets some post relief. (8) LOCKLOADNEXPLODE might have been my choice if not for the awful post.

Race 2

(4) ANDIE SOPHIA appeared to have loads of trot in that amateur race at The Meadowlands; Dube drives the mare tonight. (5) CLIENT NINE ships in and switches to the Brainard barn; instant respect. (1) DO IT FOR ANNIE hails from the good Rohr barn and she draws best but Bartlett opted off.

Race 3

(5) MAGIC CHEQUE went a huge eight-hole effort in defeat last week; he's ready to score. (2) DUOLOTTACHEATIN raced okay with decent overnight stock at Pocono. (3) MUSCLE MASSACARE ships down from Plainridge to join the Garland barn; worth a look at a big price.

Race 4

(1) WITHMEWITHOUTME finished willingly in her last two and can take the next logical step from this spot. (2) BIKINIS ON TOP flashed good speed in her latest and Stalbaum promises to have her close to the action. (3) SWEET BROWN finished willingly in the same race as my second choice and the Buter trainee can be on `fire' late.

Race 5

(2) NOWERLAND FIREBIRD has taken two straight and she's sharp enough to take another. (6) AEQUITAS has some back class to work with. (1) BIG SEA LIGER has tons of early speed at his disposal.

Race 6

(3) ROCKLINDAROCK faltered late after being aggressively used last out and her prior effort was a blowout win; filly looks tons the best here. (1) AMERICAN ALIVE ships in from Saratoga, picks up Stratton and should be well placed throughout. (4) ROCK MARKET hasn't shown much in her brief career but neither have the rest of these.

Race 7

(3) BOOTS N BOURBON drops back down in class off two good efforts; I'm assuming the connections aren't worried about losing him and he's going to jog here. (2) IDEAL DANNY has been solid in his last handful of efforts and he may have a tactical advantage over his speedy rivals. (4) GO GO RAIDER goes for another new barn while in good form.

Race 8

(8) JUST ADD VODKA made good money in the NYSS and she gets a very weak and nervous call from this spot. (2) CUT A DEAL returns locally for Surick but her efforts here a few back weren't all that good. (4) SANDY HOOK HANOVER went evenly last week in a strung-out race and she can show more tonight.

Race 9

(5) PAMS LEGACY was hard used and game in defeat; veteran deserves top billing tonight despite having some tough ones inside of him. (4) CONNERY BLUE CHIP stays at this level off the claim and he's got loads of class to him. (3) WHOLLY LOUY tripped out last week as he inches closer to a million in the bank.

Race 10

(6) RUSTY'S BLISS gets that all-important trainer change to Brainard and that's enough reason for me to select her. (5) KATE CAN'T WAIT raced well in the Miss NJ; on paper she's the one to beat. (2) BEACH GRANNY ships up from Philly off two solid efforts.

Race 11

(2) FLIPPER J was second best last out to a fellow dropper; veteran should take control tonight. (5) INSANE IN SPAIN is up in class off a super victory. (3) SWIFT AS A SHADOW was shuffled versus better in his local return.

Race 12

(2) SENTIMENTAL LADY was second best in her last two to runaway winners; Brennan should cut the mile from this spot and be able to last the distance. (1) FASTER FASTER can sit the pocket from start to finish. (3) STATUS WARRIOR raced well here last month, losing by a head at this level.
