Best Bet: SHEER DESIRE (12th)

Spot Play: FLOAT ON (1st)

Race 1

(3) FLOAT ON returns to Pantaleano tonight and last week's effort wasn't awful; this is a pretty weak field. (1) IVORY COLLECTION had a useful local debut last out, now draws best. (4) TIMESWEETENEDHONEY should be counted on for a share; Sears drives.

Race 2

(8) TAKE ONE MORE LOOK was probably home free when he broke on the lead upon arrival. Trotter qualified nicely against a good rival and he deserves another chance here. (4) HEY BUDDY MAC has done little wrong in his brief career. (7) MR GREENWELL had some finishing trot in that qualifier after shipping east.

Race 3

(1) LIGHT OF DAY has missed time, which raises a red flag, but if she's ready she can roll from this spot. (4) MY QP DOLL was a blowout winner last week; obvious threat to repeat. (3) DRAGON RUFFLES didn't have much when last seen here; maybe she's better off on the bigger tracks.

Race 4

(3) QUANTUM CONFIDENT has missed almost a year, but that qualifier at Philly proves he's ready. (2) GRECALE AS gets post relief and returns to Sears; he's probably the one to beat. (1) APRILSHOWERS has speed and draws best; logical.

Race 5

(4) REMUS BLUE CHIP was Sears' choice upon arrival and he doesn't face a stellar field here; that qualifier two back shows he may be good enough to handle these. (2) NO GIN was decent last out for a board spot. (3) STORMIN RUSTLER figures to be forwardly placed early.

Race 6

(3) FASTER FASTER gets Brennan in the bike and an effort like two back may be enough to get the job done. (7) SOMEKINDAMONSTER paced a big third quarter to enter contention and she held for second upon arrival. (5) GLASS IN THE  SAND hails from good connections and cannot be ignored.

Race 7

(3) HANDSOME HARRY enters the Banca barn off two needed races up at Saratoga; he's got a ton of back class. (2) WYNSUM MAGIC has disappointed recently; tough to accept a short price. (5) POLARIS N finished well last out but has missed some time.

Race 8

(5) PEMBROKE ALEC BUSH was reclaimed by the hot Robertson barn and Bartlett will be heading to the front. (3) SMELLTHECOLORNINE closed a ton last out, now gets post relief. (4) NEWBEGINING is a steady commodity at this level and Sears won with him twice last month.

Race 9

(2) ESPEN DE VIE finished with pace from a three hole last week; four-year-old seems to fit at this level and he'll be a threat from this inside post. (3) ALL SPEED HANOVER seems to finally be rounding into form after the long layoff and I wouldn't fault anyone for backing him here. (5) MISSISSIPPI HIPPY ships from Pocono for Fraley off a good closing effort.

Race 10

(2) SOUTHWIND CHASE was up in class and going nowhere from the eight hole last week; he's back inside and back at the appropriate level. (4) WINDSUN COINTREAU has been solid in his last two; he hikes up off the claim. (3) THAT MAN OF MINE exits a fast mile up at Saratoga.

Race 11

(1) GO WEST LUCKY CAM enters claimers and draws best; if Bartlett can secure good position from the rail he can take this. (4) MILITARY STRATCOM is back at the 30K claiming level; big threat. (2) ABOMINABLE SNOWPAN has done little wrong since the Buter claim.

Race 12

(1) SHEER DESIRE seems to love life in the Brittany Robertson barn; he should take these down the road. (2) ITS A GOOD THING woke up with a solid two-move effort last week. (3) CASHENDASH HANOVER picks up Brennan tonight off the claim.

Race 13

(4) STONEBRIDGE ROCKET tries Sears tonight and faces nothing special in here; maybe. (2) Q ROCK has been overmatched in his last six races. He drops tonight, but honestly, can you bet him with any confidence? (1) COLONIAL ROAD gets post relief and should be counted on to round out the gimmicks.
