Best Bet: BULLVILLEKARLA (6th) Spot Play: MELANIE’S FILLY (1st) MEET STATS: 188 - 592 / $1,058.10  BEST BETS: 28 - 48 / $96.90 Race 1 (4) MELANIE'S FILLY shipped from Canada to join the Allard barn and went a quick clip at Pocono before tiring; no reason she can't show more here upon arrival at Yonkers. (3) SO LONG DARLING was very impressive in her career debut and now ships in joining the Lachance barn; big chance to win obviously but she'll be way overbet. (2) BETTER THAN HAPPY was lucky three back, awful two back and overmatched last week. I suppose she'll be close up from this spot. Race 2 (2) TOUREG SEELSTER gets post relief and will probably look to wire this field. (5) VALRHONA has raced well in most starts this year without a win to show for it; player. (1) JOHN DALLY draws best and should by right in the thick of the action. Race 3 (2) PROBERTS LEGACY ships all the way in from California off two sharp wins at Cal Expo and obviously the connections feel he can fit in here; top billing. (1) DAMION DIESEL HAHN was aggressively put on the lead last week by Schnittker and wilted badly late; prior stalking efforts were decent. (3) AMERICA'S GUEST has raced well enough in his last two to win but was outfinished in both; board player again. Race 4 (7) BRACKLEY BEACH came from Canada to join the Mark Ford barn, added Lasix and jogged at Plainridge; 3-year-old may be good enough to handle these despite the outside post. (1) FORDHAM SIXTY TWO is still a maiden but seems to be getting closer. (2) ARTIFACT HANOVER gets much-needed post relief in his second seasonal start and figures to be much more involved. Race 5 (1) CONWAY BEACH A won in hand last week and doesn't face much tougher here; figures to repeat at a short price. (5) CARLO'S SUPERSTAR raced well off the bench to be third best to the top choice and the Allard trainee figures to move forward off that effort. (2) WINDSUN MAGNOLIA gets major post relief tonight which obviously puts her in play. Race 6 (1) BULLVILLEKARLA has controlling speed from the rail and Bartlett will look to take the filly coast to coast. (3) MAJORETTE ANGIE raced decently while outfinished by (4) JERICHO DIVA last week; both of these youngsters figure prominently in this event. Race 7 (3) KEYSTONE PHOENIX threw in a rare clunker last week as Schnittker sat in and never got involved; practically every other start this year has been solid and I'll assume he can get back on track. (6) JO PA'S WAY was bottomed out in the Reynolds but he can fit better here. (1) BROOKLETS PRINCE N makes his U.S. debut and all of these Down-under shippers merit respect but this one hails from connections who are unproven with this type; use caution. Race 8 (1) AMERICANFIREWATER gets much-needed post relief in a race with many question marks and Brennan should be able to work out a winning trip from this spot. (4) ANDY'S IDEAL was empty from the pocket last week but his prior three efforts were solid; is he capable of rebounding? (2) MACONUPWITHTHEDRAGON hasn't done much recently but the better post should work to his advantage. Race 9 (1) LATE MAIL N faces a talented field here but last week's effort was much better and landing the best post can't hurt. (3) BORN TO BE BAD sharpened up with that qualifier down at Philly and the Julie Miller trainee can be forwardly placed off the gate. (8) TREMENDOUS PLAY was just that last week with a strong win but now he faces a tough task from the eight hole; he should be a nice price, however. Race 10 (2) LEGIO X EQUESTRIS has been knocking on the door locally for some time now having just missed last week in a solid try; Fanning trainee seems capable with the right trip. (1) ONEIDA BLUE CHIP has been razor-sharp in her five 2018 starts and now the Mike Simons trainee gets Stratton in the bike. (2) STORMTRACKER has won half of her seasonal starts for Linda Toscano and seems like a perfect fit in this class. [DRF HARNESS NEWSLETTER: Sign Up for the FREE DRF Harness Newsletter.
