Yonkers: Monday 5/21 Analysis

MEET STATS: 143 - 411 / $677.30

Best Bet: TIA MARIA KOSMOS (3rd)      Spot Play: MR JIM DANDY (9th)

Race 1

(2) HANKS KID hasn't done much recently out of town but maybe the change in scenery and the class drop will wake him up. (6) KID CARSON had a nice winning trip last week; he may have to work harder tonight. (8) BOX CAR JOHNNIE drops and has plenty of speed to overcome the post.

Race 2

(6) SEE THROUGH IT hasn't been that bad in recent starts and she finds a soft field here. (2) S F CIRO gets some post relief, as does (3) MONTANACHAMPIONNE, who should show more tonight.

Race 3

(1) TIA MARIA KOSMOS is accustomed to facing much better; mare hails from the live Buter barn and she should take control here, (3) CINDERELLA MAN gets much-needed class relief and he should show more. (5) UP FRONT STRIKING has looked decent for Ford since the addition of Lasix and the trotting hobbles.

Race 4

(4) HESTON BLUE CHIP is clearly the most accomplished of these and he showed in those morning preps that he's ready to roll. (1) TWIN B HOLLISTER draws best for Teague, Jr., who knows a little something about young stakes horses. (2) GABLE BLUE CHIP ships from Canada and joins the Mark Ford barn.

Race 5

(1) FOREVER JUST went down the road in a NYSS test at Buffalo and tonight from the rail, the results can be the same. (2) IDEAL ROMANCE two-moved to victory in the fog upon arrival. (3) SIR GLOBALOP Z TAM will likely save ground from this spot for Lachance.

Race 6

(1) BREAKIN THE LAW has looked dominant in all recent starts over at The Meadowlands and he does have some half-mile experience. (2) AMERICAN GI won at first asking upon arrival and that looks like a nice tuneup for Stakes action. (4) UNION MAN HANOVER had a decent freshman campaign in Late Closer action.

Race 7

(2) SING FOR ME GEORGE finished willingly at Woodbine in his 2012 debut; he should be nice and tight off that effort. (3) ESCAPE THE NEWS is the most accomplished of these, but probably should have done better in those overnight events at Philly. (5) RACING ROCKY was a decent third in NYSS action at Buffalo.

Race 8

(1) TO TELL THE TRUTH will jog here if she stays pacing. (6) I GOT SKILLS went evenly last week and hit the board; can Brennan leave the gate from this spot? (2) CYST TO SISTER draws well enough to be involved.

Race 9

(1) MR JIM DANDY went decently first-time Julie Miller and he can build off that effort in this weak field. (2) BATTLESHOE VIOLA was game in defeat last week. (6) APEACHTOREMEMBER has tons of speed.

Race 10

(6) RUTHLESS ACE had plenty of pace but too much ground to cover last out; he's got the back class to handle this tougher competition. (1) CHINA KING closed with a stout rally last week. (3) LIFE UP FRONT has class and returns off a nice front-end score at Saratoga.

Race 11

(1) CORAL SNAKE could not have looked any better in his career debut; he may be ready to handle this type. (4) LAWGIVER HANOVER picks up Brennan and could be forwardly placed. (2) STEELHEAD HANOVER has come back for his three-year-old campaign looking pretty sharp.

Race 12

(2) WILLIE BOOTS gets the post relief he needs to control the action and score. (3) COSMISPEDIA was a solid second to a razor-sharp winner last week. (4) JK CAMELOT was in the Levy when last seen here.
