Best Bet: ONE TOUGH NUT (7th) Spot Play: PULL THE SHADE (8th) MEET STATS: 156 - 498 / $873.70 BEST BETS: 24 - 40 / $83.90 Race 1 (1) SILK REED didn't race badly last week and certainly needed that start; she deserves a long look with the post edge on her main rivals. (6) ELYSIUM LINDY could not sustain a two-move effort in her seasonal debut but she figures to be flashing good early speed again. (7) PAINTED LADY burned tons of cash last week but I expect her to race better this week, at an improved price. Race 2 (7) SPRINGBANK SAM N has been much better in his last two and now drops to a new low; now or never. (4) NEWCASTLE was no match for the winner last week but was a good second; threat. (2) CRITICAL MASS was game in defeat last out and draws well here. Race 3 (5) MAJOR AUTHORITY showed some promise in limited action as a 2-year-old and qualified decently at The Big M; Andrew Harris trainee may be ready at first asking. (8) ALL ABOUT HEAVEN has the speed to overcome the poor post; player. (3) REVENANT saved ground to land a minor share in his last two and may be in line for a similar trip tonight. Race 4 (6) HERE'S THE MAGIC has looked strong in his two 2018 starts and can easily take another. (4) SHOWMEYOURGUNS took a step in the right direction last week and has plenty of back class to call upon. (2) ELDORADO OF GOLD S blew up the tote board last week; he'll clearly be a much shorter price tonight but should be included. Race 5 (4) BULLVILLEKARLA blasted to the lead and drew off looking like a 2/5 shot, not a 39/1 shot; filly faces better here but may be up to the task. (3) BETTERTHANGRADUATE had little to offer in her seasonal debut but faces softer here and seems capable of much better. (1) JENNA HANOVER went wire-to-window last week and draws best but Bartlett opted off. Race 6 (4) CHEYENNE REIJANE has been super in his two starts after moving to the Jenn Bongiorno barn and seems to offer some value here with that 8/1 morning line. (3) TRUMP NATION raced well at Yonkers as a freshman and looks ready to go off that qualifier. (2) HANDSOFFMYCHIPS was much the best last week but faces tougher here. Race 7 (1) ONE TOUGH NUT has been racing very well up at Saratoga and gets a massive driver chance to Zeron. (3) MAJOR OFFENSE has raced very well in his two 2018 starts. (5) TOUREG SEELSTER was Stratton's choice and does move in a couple of spots; that effort two back was good. Race 8 (4) PULL THE SHADE could not reach last week from the outside post but her prior three efforts were super; seems capable in a questionable field with a live trip. (2) FAMILY ROLL CALL raced okay in series action at The Big M and seems to fit well in this spot but is just 4 for 55 lifetime. (3) WINDSUN BROOKLYN was second best versus lesser last week and figures for a share underneath again. Race 9 (3) ANDY'S IDEAL has been second best in his two 2018 starts but either of those efforts seem good enough to handle these. (5) SGT PAPA DADDY has done nothing wrong in his last five starts for the team of Bartlett and Banca. (4) HALLIE'S COMET seemed to have pace but also some traffic issues last week; consider him off that angle. Race 10 (3) LATE MAIL N hasn't won in some time but is always a player with this type and should be used if anywhere near his 7/1 morning line. (7) CAROLINA BEACH arrives from Saratoga in raging form and should fit well here. (5) AMERICANFIREWATER faces better but was solid in victory last week. Race 11 (1) FILLY FORTY SEVEN picks up Bartlett in her local return after racing evenly in the Burning Point at The Meadowlands and she draws best in this questionable field. She seems like the likeliest winner but also not worthy of a short price. (5) LEGIO X EQUESTRIS returns to Yonkers and has had some success here in the past. (3) PIRINEA'S PRINCESS raced well four back from an inside post and will probably be completely ignored in the wagering but she may be able to save ground and land a share. Race 12 (4) ART SCENE dominated locally three back and followed that up with solid efforts at Pocono; Allard trainee is clearly the one to defeat in the finale. (1) OUTKAST BLUE CHIP sat the rail and finished mildly while having no chance to win; Julie Miller trainee looks like the main threat to the top one. (7) MAROMA BEACH has the speed to overcome the draw and looks to round out a solid top three. [DRF HARNESS NEWSLETTER: Sign Up for the FREE DRF Harness Newsletter.
