MEET STATS: 212 - 559 / $1,107.60 (-$10.40) BEST BETS: 26 - 49 / $82.10 (-$15.90) SPOT PLAYS: 12 - 49 / $104.70 (+$6.70) BEST BET - MACH IT A PAR (10th) SPOT PLAY - SEVEN IRON (8th) Race 1 - 20000CLM Pace (4) AMERICAN VENTURE capitalized on a perfect pocket trip in his debut for DiDomenico and delivered last Friday.  I will go right back to him against this beatable group.  (1) COACH CAL steps up after hanging around for third despite getting parked out in his last try.  Gets a driver change to Bartlett and the rail. (2) WIND BLAST scratched back on 8-30 and hasn't been in action since.  Have to respect anything the Hudson/Stratton duo have in right now, though, as they continue to win races. Race 2 - NW15000L5/25000CLM/Winners of NW10000L5 Last Start Trot (2) ANNAPOLIS HALL receives some class relief by sliding down from the NW20000L5's and gets a catch driver this week with Stratton taking over.  (1) SHOWMEYOURGUNS also moves into this group from the NW20000L5's and is reunited with Brennan, who guided him to his most recent victory.  (5) URSIS DES CAILLONS has been racing mostly in Pennsylvania lately with one local try in the NW20000L5's where he was fifth.  Race 3 - F&M NW20000L5/30000CLM/Winners of NW15000L5 Last Start Pace (4) SAFE FROM TERROR faded from first-over in the Open up at Tioga but has raced well locally for quite a spell and rallied to finish second against better when last seen here on 9-6.  (5) QUEEN LOSTRIS N closed strongly last Friday, gaining to the wire against NW30000L5's.  Gets class relief tonight and is always dangerous at this level.  (6) BROWN BRINNY went right back to Banca on the re-claim a week ago.  Drawn outside the other contenders here. Race 4 - 25000CLM Pace (5) OUR REGAL IDEAL N plunges out of the $40,000 claimers to this spot after gaining to finish third in his last effort.  Didn't get much wagering attention in those races, and I'll hope he continues to offer a price on the drop.  (3) DIAMOND COWBOY drew a much better post tonight after being saddled with the six in his two appearances for Banca so far.  That gives Bartlett more options on how to race him.  (1) NERVE OF STEEL N wound up second from first-over in his initial local try for Hudson on September 6.  It was a good race over an off track and he has the pole position tonight. Race 5 - F&M NW20000L5/30000CLM/Winners of NW15000L5 Last Start Pace (2) GLENFERRIE BLADE A brushed strongly into the lead last week, then dug in when challenged in the lane to hold on.  Gets a chance to race against similar tonight from a better post.  (3) ROCKIN THE BOYS A cruised to a front-end win a week ago.  Does move out slightly from post one to post three.  (1) SLICK ARTIST A ships north from Harrah's Philly for a start at Yonkers tonight.  Two straight impressive wins from first-over, and she gets Brennan to drive. Race 6 - F&M Open Handicap Pace (1) ANGEL'S PRIDE had pace behind horses two back in the open and then rallied nicely to finish second last week.  Wound up with the rail tonight, and even though Brennan opted off, Bongiorno knows her well and has won with her before.  (5) BETTERB CHEVRON N flashed her customary closing kick a week ago but was too far back from the outside post and had to settle for third.  Gets a mid-pack post to work with tonight, and she'll likely be closer to the pace.  (8) FEELIN RED HOT was sent off at 1-9 in that Ohio Sires Stakes race at Scioto but completely flopped.  Returns to her favorite venue tonight, did keep Brennan, and has won from out in this post before. Race 7 - 25000/30000CLM HCP Pace (8) BLUEBIRD RECON sees Brennan and Burke in the eight-hole for the second straight race.  This one's been saddled with outside draws in all his local tries and gets another one tonight, but George stuck here over a DiDomenico firster, and I have to believe he's going to take a speed try at some point, so why not tonight?  (2) DO OVER HANOVER went to DiDomenico off the claim on 9-6, having won both of his starts for Allard.  Dube kept the drive when Brennan went to my top selection.  (1) IMA TRAGEDY N has been racing well lately except for the one start where he had post eight.  Has the pole tonight and should be close to the action. Race 8 - NW15000L5/25000CLM/Winners of NW10000L5 Last Start Trot (2) SEVEN IRON started slowly from a trailing post last out at Harrah's Philly and was in against the likes of Homicide Hunter, so he was in deep water.  Rallied well to finish second two back, and even his one local start on 8-9 wasn't bad as he gained in the final quarter.  I'll put him on top from a good draw and hope for some value.  (4) MARLEY'S GUY returns to Yonkers tonight after a front-end win in the preferred at Freehold.  Wasn't racing poorly in Westchester at the NW20000L5's level recently, and he might be the one to beat.  (6) TORKIL steps up a bit on the class ladder but is coming into this one off a determined win in his last attempt. Race 9 - F&M NW15000L5/25000CLM/Winners of NW10000L5 Last Start Pace (6) TIPP CITY showed enough speed to get to the top from this post in her win back on September 10.  I'll hope she's able to do the same tonight and gets the same result, too.  (2) TELL ME A JOKE slides inside on the gate tonight and gets Brennan back to drive.  She usually races best for him.  (4) SHEEZA GNP N gained steadily in the final quarter a week ago, and Stratton picked off two others to get back aboard. Race 10 - F&M NW15000L5/25000CLM/Winners of NW10000L5 Last Start Pace (1) MACH IT A PAR looks like she's in a prime spot tonight, getting the rail and some class relief.  Wouldn't be surprised to see her wire them.  (6) DARK FORCE has been racing against better also with little to show for it.  Continues to drop tonight, which I think puts her back in play like back in July.  (2) ROSE RUN TONI is in sharp form, including an impressive win from post eight last time out, but she did get claimed by Allard and does move up in class. Stratton stays in the bike. Race 11 - NW20000L5/30000CLM/Winners of NW15000L5 Last Start Trot (1) BUEN CAMINO retreats out of the Open tonight to a level where he's usually a major threat, including a win back on 8-9.  Drew the pole to aid his chances further.  (5) FASHION CREDITOR is another one who does his best racing in this class, but he's outside of my top choice and might have to work hard to get to the front.  (8) LINDSEY'S PRIDE would be a main danger had he drawn anywhere other than the eight, but alas that's where he wound up.  I'll be looking for him to close on to the ticket. Race 12 - F&M NW30000L5 / 3&4YO F&M NW10 Pace (5) KAITLYN N disappointed last Friday when she made a break for some reason, but I'll give her a pass and go back her way as she moves out of the Open.  (4) D GS ELSA also exits the Open class tonight.  Was red-hot for Bongiorno in the lower classes earlier this summer, so she's still a threat.  (1) TERROR AT NIGHT probably needed that race last week coming off the brief hiatus and qualifier.  Draws inside tonight with Siegelman getting the call.
