Yonkers: Friday 3/25 Analysis

MEET STATS: 76 - 300 / $531.60

BEST BETS: 8 - 24 / $30.60

Spot Play: MEDUSA (10th)

Race 1

(2) WAYNE THE LEFTY tried to go down the road but did not have enough gas in the tank last out. Obviously the gelding is the speed of the speed and hopefully will greet the cameraman for pictures wire to window. (1) VENGANCE was on the rim at the 1/2 mile pole and could not go forward in deep stretch last time around. (5) MONTREAL PHIL gets class relief and that could help his cause.

Race 2

(6) SKATES N PLATES led for a mile and faded for fourth money in his latest. Now the 5-year-old reverts back to a flat mile and takes a slight drop in class; gets the call. (1) BASTILLE is better than his last flop and needs to return to his February 28th trip to contend with these. (3) SOUL TRAIN should appreciate the move to the 3-hole; maybe.

Race 3

(6) CANACO STAR was flashing prompting speed in her last try but could not seal the deal as the chalk. Trainer Banca calls on Brennan and with a favorable trip this 10-year-old mare can return to her winning ways. (5) PLAYAWAY N might have been used up in the early stages, because she was nailed for win honors recently. (2) MCCOVEY COVE N makes her North American debut with a sharp qualifier here last week; watch out.

Race 4

(4) GROUNDED got the job done via the pocket route in her last trip to the post. Mare seems to be in good form so two straight is not out of the question. (1) ENVIOUS HANOVER Sharp in her last three starts including a victory last time out. (5) NEFERTITI BLUECHIP might find these pacing mares to her liking with the drop in class; we shall see.

Race 5

(5) BAD NIGHT MARE leaves the 8-hole, has plenty of speed and Bartlett has the assignment; the pick. (2) ALL ABOUT KISSES did not fire from post 6 last out so the move to door number two should make this gal a contender with these. (4) WANNA ROCK N ROLL much be considered if she returns to her March 10th start.

Race 6

(3) HAZMATT Mare proves she can fit with this group with a strong third place finish recently. Has five wins this year at Yonkers and with the right trip she can get the job done. (5) VENUS DELIGHT made her comeback with a solid second last out; big threat. (4) SELL A BIT N put in a mild rally from the 8-hole last time around so she will be well placed in post 4.

Race 7

(2) YAGONNAKISSMEORNOT showed good speed from the pocket but could not get to the top pair in her last try. Now she will to make amends from that effort with a fine-timed drive; capable. (1) SKIPPIN BY gets serious post relief and that should put her right in the mix. (4) ANNDROVETTE makes her 2016 debut and clearly she belongs with these; not out of this.

Race 8

(3) DELIGHTFUL DRAGON pulled the pocket and was second briefly turning for home but could not sustain her bid in deep stretch last out. Mare knows how to win races here and if she is well rated the rest might have to settle for second money. (5) KRISPY APPLE 8-year-old miss has won over a million dollars. In her last outing she was nailed for win honors by Al Raza N; big threat. (4) AL RAZA N charged down the center of the track to be the boss last out.

Race 9

(2) PAMS LEGACY Gelding is knocking at the door based on his last two tries. In his last start he tried to go down the road but was caught at the wire for all the glory so it seems he will be ready for a stronger effort with Sears on the return call. (7) HARDTS OR BETTOR closed well outside to grab the place spot last time out. (3) TWIN B WRANGLER comes by way from Canada and should have a say in the outcome.

Race 10

(4) MEDUSA Pennsylvania invader makes her return to Yonkers and has done quite well at the Meadows so maybe she can top these at her best with Gingras at the helm. (5) BETTOR N BETTER did not fire in her last try but hey it was her first start of the year; improvement expected. (2) CARIBBEAN ROSE N was sent by Brennan down the road but got nailed by Grounded last week.

Race 11

(2) BENTLEY KARAN finally this trotting gelding gets post relief and that's a big plus. Has proven to win at the Hilltop scoring on February 6th; threat at his best. (4) DEWYCOLORINTHELINE was very game in his last trip to the post and had to settle for the place spot. (1) WARRAWEE ONYX clearly should appreciate the move to the fence; watch out.

Race 12

(4) KNOW IT ALL had no shot in her last try but the good news is she catches a weak group and she can be well placed to pick them up and lay them down for all the glory. (5) SIR JILLIAN Z TAM gapped most of the way but still held on for the place spot in her most recent outing. (2) DUNE IN RED took the pocket route home to greet the cameraman for pictures last out.
