Yonkers: Friday 2/9 Analysis

Best Bet: MADE OF JEWELS AS (11th)

Spot Play: FANTICIPATION (9th)

MEET STATS: 17 - 99 / $183.30

BEST BETS: 4 - 9 / $22.90

Race 1

(3) UNION MAN HANOVER will need a favorable trip to take these to task; very capable. (2) SURE FIRED BET is knocking at the door seeking to return to the winner's circle. (1) FIERY LUSTRE N just got up for win honors in his latest and now draws the rail; watch out.

Race 2

(1) SHINOBU HANOVER retains the pole position and there's a good chance this pacer will get back into the swing of things; threat at his best. (2) PEMBROKE WILDCAT came close to getting the job done recently; main danger. (4) OH JONNY B GOOD N did put in a mild rally for fourth money last out; could have a say in the outcome.

Race 3

(1) PIERCE moves down in class and gets serious post relief; the pick. (7) IN THE HUDDLE showed signs of life in his last trip; player. (2) VANQUISHED N leaves the 7-hole for door number two; not out of this.

Race 4

(4) COPPER COAST A makes his return to Yonkers where he did not race badly two starts back; could make a quick turnaround against these with a well judged drive. (1) BIG CITY JEWEL put in a nice qualifier here last week and moves to the fence; factor. (2) WESTERN BAYAMA gets post relief and that might help his cause; we shall see.

Race 5

(3) BETABCOOL N was late on the scene to nail down the victory in her last trip to the post; two straight is not out of the question. (7) SELL A BIT N was sent down the road in her last start for all the glory; dangerous again. (5) ANNABETH showed signs of life in her last try; don't overlook.

Race 6

(5) ALL ABOUT MADI is clearly knocking at the door based on her last two starts; at her best she can boss these. (2) KNOW IT ALL is another that could put her best foot forward; main threat. (4) CAROBBEAN PACETRY has wheeled off two straight victories so she must be respected in this event.

Race 7

(4) MORE THAN MANY was wide to get the lead at the 1/4 pole and she must have been out of gas turning for home; if she gets a relaxing trip just like she did on January 12th she could greet the cameraman for pictures. (2) FREEZE OUT put in a good effort but she was nailed for win honors in her last try; player. (5) TRACYS DESIRE came wide at the 3/4 marker but she could not get past the winner in her latest; watch out.

Race 8

(1) WAR DADDY moves down the ladder, retains the fence and Brennan has the assignment. Has a chance to top these down the road. (2) PIECE OF THE ROCK tipped outside at the 3/4 pole and he just got the job done by a head last time out; dangerous. (3) AMERICAN ISLAND could not get by the second choice last time around; must be respected against this group.

Race 9

(1) FANTICIPATION moves back inside and this pacing miss has good tactical speed. With the right trip she can make tonight a winning one. (4) JEWEL LEHIGH A was very wide to grab the lead approaching the 3/4 marker on her way to an easy victory last time out; consider again. (2) MISS IRISH ROSE A just missed the score in her last trip to the post; clearly she is the speed of the speed so don't overlook.

Race 10

(4) BJS GUY showed signs of life in his last start. Gelding appears to be heading in the right direction and with a fine-timed drive he can make his return to the winner's circle. (1) ARDIE B SPEED was a game second in his latest and now the gelding moves to the pole position where he got the job done three starts ago; big threat. (7) BETTOR REASON N Ten year old is very consistent and he could handle the far outside post; beware.

Race 11

(4) MADE OF JEWELS AS was on the lead most of the way but was caught in the final strides last time around. Mare seems to be back into winning form and good to see Bartlett is keeping the faith; gets the call. (1) LIGHTNING MACH N has done quite well in her last two tries so she must be considered in all the exotic slots. (3) SHADY STELLA was all alone at the wire on route to greet the cameraman for pictures last time out; solid threat again.
