Yonkers: Friday 1/29 Analysis

MEET STATS: 27 - 102 / $195.20

BEST BETS: 2 - 8 / $10.70

Best Bet: STORMUNN (12th)

Race 1

(3) SUPERBOWL PARTY moves down to a winning level; draws a cozy post to work with and with the right trip, he can take these to task for all the cash. (4) DECISIVE DESTINY made a first over bid but could not keep going in the stretch drive last out. (8) AMASA AL pulled out of the pocket at the 3/4 pole and got the job done last week; post hurts, but is very capable.

Race 2

(2) ELIAS JOY goes back to a flat mile where this trotter has done his best; capable of mowing these down for all the glory. (1) PARKHILL LANCELOT Two down the road scores in a row makes this 4-year-old the one to fear for team Brennan/Bruke. (3) MARATHON MAN did show some early trot last out; could contend with a change of tactics.

Race 3

(4) ZIGGY SKY moves to the Hudson barn and this 5-year-old clearly is the speed of the speed; in his latest, he led every step of the way with clear sailing, but did not have enough gas in the tank to take home top prize; better results expected. (1) ROETHBLISSBERGER gets the rail slot where he was the boss at this level three starts ago. (2) STONEBRIDGE TONIC Here's another that draws well and could contend with these given a favorable trip.

Race 4

(5) SPECIAL ACTION leaves his Delaware headquarters to make his initial start here and this seems to be a softer spot for this 4-year-old gelding to make his presence felt; gets the call. (6) OH MY MAGIC took charge right from the bell, sitting in the pocket for the entire trip and held on fourth money in her recent try; expect Brennan to revert to her January 10th start; threat. (3) ARMOR HANOVER makes his second start at this level, needs to return to his January

Race 5

(3) NEFERTITI BLUECHIP Mare has a fondness for the Hilltop; in her last effort, she angled up on the rim and got to the helmet of Exhilarated turning for home, but could not sustain a forward bid. She can do better with a covered-up trip. (5) CAVIART SHELLY Here's another one that was first up at the 3/4 pole, but went flat in the final stretch run; could have a say in the outcome. (1) GROUNDED is back on the fence where she was a game third three trips ago; watch out.

Race 6

(3) BAZOOKA TERROR gets another shot to prove she can handle this select group of open foes; after scoring four straight victories, her last try was ok at this level. She will get a much quicker pace tonight and could be a handful; capable. (8) TESSA SEELSTER Meadowlands shipper was the boss down the road for score number two; dangerous despite the rise in class. (2) ROCKN RUBY N put did not have the best of trips last out but on her best day, 6-year-old miss can run with these; watch out.

Race 7

(2) MONROE COUNTY seems to enjoy the $30k ranks with another sharp victory to her belt; has the speed and if she stays on gait, the three-peat is well within the realm. (4) DREAMS OF THUNDER is knocking at the door based on his last four trips to the post; major threat. (7) EXTRACURRICULAR Very consistent trotter was nailed by Monroe County last time around; capable of turning the tables on that rival; maybe.

Race 8

(2) JOKES JET was sitting in the pocket most of the trip, but could not get to the winner Cracker Coffee in her latest; good speed and if she has enough gas in the tank, the rest will have to settle for minor honors. (3) ROCKAROUND SUE was first up approaching the 3/4 pole and made a mild bid to land the show spot in her last start; must be considered. (1) IMAGE OF FELICIA got the job done wire to window against lesser company recently; don't overlook despite the rise in class.

Race 9

(8) GIANNAS DELIGHT Mare has proven she belongs with these; in her latest, she led most of the way but did not have enough gas in the tank; look for Brennan to get a nice position from the 8-hole, in hopes to mow them down in deep stretch. (3) ELISAVETA N just held on for the victory as the chalk last time out for the Bamond barn; will be a handful once again. (1) EXHILARATED was on the muscle for start to finish and this gal is very consistent; not out of this.

Race 10

(2) DEMOCRACY N Gelding's last two starts were very good, missing the victory in both of his tries by 3/4's of a length; at his best, he can return to his winning ways. (5) THESYESRCRYING has wheeled off two straight victories; consistent 8-year-old can make some serious noise against these. (4) PAMS LEGACY took the pocket route on his way to glory last out; must be considered in all the exotic slots.

Race 11

(1) BENTLEY KARAN was quite dull in his last start; two trips ago, this trotter was a sharp second at this level; can take this group to task with a favorable trip. (2) HASTY PROFFITT was ready to roll but took a tough break turning for home; could make amends. (6) FOR YOU ALMOSTFREE 8-year-old fits well in this event with a third place finish last time out; don't overlook.

Race 12

I truly believe (5) STORMUNN will put it all together. Mare needs live cover to attack and score; we shall see. (1) SIR JILLIAN Z TAM If you throw out her last try, this mare is very good at the Hilltop with a lifetime mark last year; big threat. (7) SO NICE very sharp at this level and that makes her a strong contender; watch out.
