This is his second start with trotting hobbles on. (6) TRANQUILITY K has missed the board just once in her five tries this year, but she's a play against for me on top as she's just three-for-52 in the win column lifetime. (1) WANIA has been second or third each time since coming down from Canada and drew inside again. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2 - Open Handicap Trot (3) STORMY KROMER wound up having to do the first-over work in his first start of 2023 last week and had to settle for fifth. I'll hope he's tighter tonight and more forwardly-placed. (6) HEY LIVVY beat the boys last Thursday in the Open Handicap Trot and is definitely usable again given her current sharp form. (7) NOWS THE MOMENT had to work hard (26 4/5 opening quarter) to get to the point a week ago and paid the price in the stretch as he faded to third. Any smoother trip tonight puts him right back as a big win threat. Race 3 - F&M NW5000L5/12500CLM Pace (3) COWGIRL LILLY was a Yonkers regular back in 2021 and early 2022 and had plenty of success. She returns from Canada tonight in the high-percentage Jared Bako barn, got the nod from Yannick Gingras, and meets up with bottom level mares. (1) LIGHTNING LEIA exits tougher spots over at Pocono, and she was hampered by post eight to boot in her most recent try. She doesn't have to deal with that here as she got the pole position. (4) TRIZZLE TRAZZLE scored a facile victory in this class two back and returns to it after a fifth-place effort against NW7500L5's a week ago. Race 4 - NW6/75000LT Trot (2) CRESCENT BEAUTY finished fourth last week in a mixed NW6/NW8 tilt after ending up first-over. She faces strictly NW6 rivals in here, landed another good post, and trainer Lance Hudson has been sending out plenty of live horses. (7) PRIMADONNA DEO has three straight second-place results to begin her 4-year-old campaign, and that's where I'm going to put her again as she has to overcome the outside draw. (1) WICKENBURGH was Jordan Stratton's choice and has captured two of his last three starts (and hit the board in five straight outings). He's probably the one they'll have to beat. Race 5 - NAADA Amateur Spring Series Leg #3 Trot (2) CREWS HILLTOPPER rejoins the amateur racing ranks after competing at Monticello lately. He makes his second start on Lasix tonight and back in the Nick Devita barn. (5) DARK POOL finished a gaining second in a leg of this event a week ago and has missed the board just once on his page. (4) NATURAL KEMP picked up a second last time out down at Freehold and shows racing in their Preferred Handicap as recently as late February. Race 6 - NW15000L5/Winner in Last Start of the Base Class NW10000L5/NW9 PM Races LT Trot (7) B NICKING had a long first-over grind in his first start of 2023 last Thursday but stuck around to finish third. Hopefully he's sharper tonight with that effort under his belt and also has a better journey. (3) BARN HALL tossed in a clunker two weeks ago but had been racing well prior to that and gets a driver switch to Jason Bartlett. (6) BIZET slides down a notch from the NW20000L5 class and finished a good second the last time he competed at this level back on January 19. Race 7 - F&M NW5000L5/12500CLM Pace (4) WILDCAT ANTONIA got caught in a speed duel over a sloppy track at the Meadowlands on March 3, and that didn't work out well for her. She did her best racing in Canada on half-mile ovals, so the switch to Yonkers should suit her, and this is her second try out of Ron Burke's barn. (6) ANDRA DAY made one start at Saratoga on March 7 and now returns to Yonkers. She was in against NW20000L5's when last here in February, so this is major class relief compared to that. (5) ASHTINI is making her first start of 2023 tonight. She finished up 2022 at Yonkers facing NW15000L5's and $50,000 claimers, so she's another one that has found a soft spot. I'll look for him to rebound tonight and hope that maybe the break boosts his price some. (1) NO MAS DRAMA steps up from the NW20000L5's but finished a gaining second to a very sharp foe in Outside The Fire a week ago and moves inside to the pole position. (8) LEAN HANOVER starts from the worst post but drops out of the Open and has hit the board the last three times he's been in against NW30000L5's. Race 9 - F&M NW7500L5/Winners in Last Start of the Base Class NW5000L5 Pace (2) MAJOR BATTLE turned in a fifth-place finish in her first try of 2023 a week ago. Tonight, she drops a notch and moves inside on the gate, too. (6) SHEIKH YABOOTY N came in third as the favorite in a $50,000 claimer on February 28 and finds what should be a softer spot tonight. (7) KATYS DELIGHT ran into a razor-sharp foe last week and had to settle for second, but she gives this class another try tonight with a driver change to Gingras.
