Yonkers Analysis: Monday 2/13/12

MEET STATS: 32 - 84 / $164.80

Best Bet: SPUDCAM (3rd)    Spot Play: RUNAWAY FIRE A (7th)

Race 1

(7) ITSJUSTABEGINNING rallied boldly off dull cover to nail the pacesetter and share win honors last out; veteran is sharp and can rally for another. (5) LORD OF THE BLING has been pretty solid since rejoining the Scicluna barn. (2) INDIAN GIVER N should be in line for a smooth trip from this spot.

Race 2

(1) POP ARTIST returned to this condition last week and raced well; she should be tough to deny from the rail. (2) FELLAS ELLA tired after a two-move effort last out; give her another look here. (6) WYGANT BELLE cleared the lead from post eight last out; she can be forwardly placed again.

Race 3

(3) SPUDCAM was outbattled in his last two after rugged uncovered trips; tonight he may be first up against a rival that will be easier to clear. (2) KDK BELLAGIO draws well again and should be prominent throughout. (1) JAZZ BAND has all the speed, drops and draws best.

Race 4

(2) MANDOLIN HANOVER picks up Brennan in her local return and draws well in this suspect field. (4) VY HANOVER ships north for her new connections and looks like a good fit. (3) CHOP CHOP SUEY had some nice efforts on tap when last seen with inside posts.

Race 5

(5) PACIFIC OKEY DOKEY went a nightmare trip where he basically waved the white flag before the half; veteran still seems to have some life left and he may be worth a look at a nice price. (4) WELLTHEREYOUGO gets another crack with these after last week's no-excuse loss. (8) WESTERN TSUNAMI gets nice class relief but he has to overcome the eight hole.

Race 6

(3) IMAGE OF DAWN should have a clear path to the lead tonight; let’s see if the teenager can still get it done. (1) SHOTGUN A takes a big drop out of claimers and he may have been lock-city if Vallee had enlisted a catch-driver. (2) ITTAKESTWOBABY can sit in and land a share.

Race 7

(2) RUNAWAY FIRE A had some nice moments here in the past and now he returns in a new barn; maybe. (5) JOEY THE CZAR was second best with better when last seen here; Brennan drives. (1) HOME AGAIN DRAGON deserves serious consideration here.

Race 8

(2) KEVLAR HANOVER raced well first-time Pena and he should get over the hump tonight. (3) LETS ROLL JOE finished very willingly and the classy veteran seems to be coming around. (5) RAFFERTY HANOVER was in over his head in his first start for new connections.

Race 9

(1) OYSTER BAY looked like he had something left when beating one notch lesser and now he looks for three in a row; why does there appear to be yet another trainer change listed here? (5) RAINING AGAIN was a solid first-over winner first time Casie Coleman. (2) WESTERN EDGE almost pulled off a nice upset victory last week.

Race 10

(3) TERRYS STAR DRAGON seemed unmotivated last week; I have a sneaky feeling we'll see an aggressive effort tonight. (1) MARKY MIKE finished with pace after being trapped in; gets another crack at the rail. (4) GREYSTONE CASH drops and looms a large threat.

Race 11

(3) MCAPULCO returns to claimers for Burke; maybe Bartlett tries to go down the road here. (2) BUSHWOOD Z TAM kept coming in a game try last out. (4) DEAR MAC debuts for new connections via claim after not being all that impressive for Surick.

Race 12

Yes, I know that (4) STEVIE RAYS DREAM steamrolled by a spent M K G, who typically caves in badly, but he looked pretty good doing it and the four-year-old is sharp enough to repeat. (5) NATHAN FEELSGOOD raced pretty well here last fall. (3) COREY ROAD is capable of big speed for Stalbaum.
