Yonkers Analysis: Monday 1/30/12

MEET STATS: 14 - 36 / $86.60

Best Bet: SOUTHWIND TRINI( 6th)   Spot Play: CESSNA FLIGHT (8th)

Race 1

(1) DISCO DRAGON raced well enough to win but came up just shy in his 2012 debut; veteran should have things his own way tonight. (3) WESTERN DEXTER has been very sharp recently and would be a big play if not for the top choice. (2) BENZORAMA A promises to be close to the action.

Race 2

(4) HELLO LINDA gets post relief in her second start of the year and she looks more than capable from this spot. (5) KING ROVA has the speed to make the front and he can take this field a long way. (3) BANK ON ROSIE is a proven bottom-level commodity.

Race 3

(3) CHEYENNE CAM drops to the basement after a fourth place finish; any one of those rivals who finished ahead of him last out would likely be odds-on in this race. (1) ARMY HANOVER was claimed by these connections for 30K plus the allowances last season and has been a complete bust, although I will admit he looks pretty live from this spot. (2) MR CHIN N will be close up throughout.

Race 4

(4) UP FRONT JERRY overcame the time off to score at odds-on; very likely to repeat. (1) INDIAN GIVER N went too fast on the engine and fizzled out, enabling the top choice to score; he's got a shot here from the rail. (2) PRINCE TAZMAN closed well from the dreaded eight hole last out.

Race 5

(7) MIDNIGHT GAMBOL had no excuse from the pocket in last but he drops back to a winning level tonight. (5) BEECHWOOD WAYNE gets some post relief and that should help his chances. (3) TRACK MY DESIRE beat lesser, may be sharp enough to compete with these.

Race 6

(4) SOUTHWIND TRINI raced well in her local debut but the winner had a slight jump on her; she should head to the front and never look back. (1) NOT THINKING raced well here late last year. (2) CAPE MARJ bumped to this level and was not much of a factor; she can hang around for a share.

Race 7

(1) TOUCH AND GO flattened after a tough trip last week; if Sheehan can get him hard off the gate and sitting close, the veteran can power by late. (8) SANSOME HANOVER fits nicely with these class-wise and he can be considered at a healthy price. (7) CRY FOR CASH was treated rudely last out; Bartlett's back driving tonight.

Race 8

(4) CESSNA FLIGHT has way more class than most of these and the Burke charge looks like the one to deny. (6) FINN MAN looked good last week; main contender. (5) COREY ROAD may show some speed for Team Stalbaum.

Race 9

(5) S F DECATHLON was solid in his debut for Fraley; gelding faces some good ones tonight looking for five in a row. (1) WINDSONG FORTUNE got parked from the eight hole; that won't happen tonight, (2) ALL SHUTTLE was in to go at The Meadowlands as of this writing; Allard trainee was super here last month.

Race 10

(5) DREAMZZZZ R FOR U cut a solid pace and was outfinished by the sharp Sparky; he deserves a play off that effort. (1) CYCLONE CULLY N gets another crack at the rail off that no-excuse effort. (3) COLBY JATE was much better last out.

Race 11

(1) MARKY MIKE closed with plenty once escaping traffic last out; this barn has had some live runners recently. (6) EVICTION NOTICE N would appear to be the one to beat on paper. (3) BILL ONTHEHILL A is back inside and the veteran can land a share.

Race 12

(5) FOX VALLEY MERCURY has raced well since arriving and it would be no surprise to see Stalbaum send him to the front. (1) PACIFIC OKEY DOKEY draws best and trainer Georgio had a very live longshot here last Tuesday. (2) K SLATER gets class relief but he's not a prolific winner.
