Yonkers Analysis: Friday 1/13/12

Best Bet: Military Stratcom (3rd)   Spot : Classieriverboat N (7th)

Race 1

(1) OHOKA GEORGIA N Pennsylvania invader draws the fence for tonight’s 2012 opener. Gelding fits well in this event and could be ready to fire at best. (5) LUMINOUS LOMBO A should appreciate the class relief. (3) ROUNDING THIRD makes his initial trip to the Hilltop. Can't count him out of this.

Race 2

(1) HOLY SMOKES Trotter has shown life in his last two trips to the post. With a perfect trip, he could take these to task for win honors. (2) MYMOMSABLIZZARD Sharp in victory down south last time out. (3) CINDERELLA MAN crushed lesser company in his previous journey.

Race 3

(1) MILTARY STRATCOM Gelding is quite fast and will have the services of the rail slot. He can boss these down the road. (3) ISLAND REDEMPTION was second best in his last try. (5) KEVLAR HANOVER drops in class and draws better tonight.

Race 4

(1) RED MILE ROAD was used up in the early stages and tired in the stretch drive at odds-on. Seven-year-old picks up Brennan for this and has every right to atone for flop as chalk. (4) STRUNG OUT moves to the four slot and that's a positive sign. (6) TONGUE TWISTER took the pocket route home to victory in his last start.

Race 5

(2) GABBY’S CREDITCARD makes her second start at Yonkers and her last trip was not bad, where she raced evenly from post five. Now with post two could help her chances tonight. (4)MUGSHOT JESS closed well for the place spot in his last one. (6) TSARINA Trotting miss went down the road for the score. Watch out again despite the rise in class.

Race 6

(7) BREAKHEART PASS She has fine speed and is very capable of a pounce and score over these. (2) CELTIC DANSER closed strongly for the third spot in her last try. (4) RIDGE JUMPER could have a big say for Team Pena.

Race 7

(3) CLASSIERIVERBOAT N put in an even finish at the Meadowlands last week. Pacing mare got the job done from post eight two starts back and should be ready to top these from the three hole. (4) SLOMOTION She just held on for the victory in last start at the Big M. Dangerous. (6) ISLAND TERROR could land a share of the purse.

Race 8

(4) CELEBRITY BLUECHIP Trotting gelding was sharp for his score last time out. Two in a row is not out of the question despite the escalation up in condition. (7) SON OF NORDIC put in a mild rally for the place spot last time around. (2) WUTHERING HANOVER closed strongly for this from the outside slot and should appreciate the post relief.

Race 9

(1) TWIN B NAVIGATOR did not get a good trip in his last start. If he can get a collapse of early speed, he could mow these down in the stretch drive. (4) SUMMERTIME YANKEE drops in class and draws much better. She is a big threat. (2) SPECIAL COMMAND was nipped at the wire in his last start. Watch out.

Race 10

(7) TOMORROWPAN Pacing mare takes a big drop in class and Brennan gets the call on this six-year-old; big shot to boss these all the way to the winner's circle. (4) IDOL was parked-out most of the mile last time out. She can do better. (1) MEMEME she could contend with these.

Race 11

(3) SARKOZY Gelding has good early zip and is capable of getting the job done with Brennan at the helm. (4) IPO BLUE CHIP She beat lesser company in her last start. (5) ZIEGFELD gets post relief tonight.

Race 12

(3) CHEYENNE TRISH Seven-year-old mare gets post relief for the finale. She gets the services of Brennan where this gal was a clear second three starts back. (4) SADIES PLACE She has good late kick. Main danger. (7) HULAS Z TAM was second best in her last trip to the post.
