Worker stabbed at Gulfstream

A backstretch worker was stabbed and the man suspected of assaulting him was arrested Tuesday morning at Gulfstream Park. The man who was stabbed, identified by the Hallandale Beach Police Department as Bradley Crescione, was taken to a nearby hospital and was listed in serious condition Tuesday.

According to detective Eric Williams, public information officer for the Hallandale Police, a dispute between Crescione and Reynaldo Galvez broke out at approximately 8:30 a.m. in Barn 7 at Gulfstream. During the argument, Galvez allegedly stabbed Crescione on the neck with a broken bottle.

Crescione was transported to Memorial East Hospital with what police described as "non-life-threatening lacerations." Williams said Galvez was taken into custody and charged with aggravated battery.

According to Gulfstream Park officials, neither man worked for the track but both were licensed and employed on the backstretch. They declined to name the trainer each man was working for at the time of the incident.
