ETOBICOKE, Ontario - Uncaptured ($2.50) held off second choice River Seven to extend his unbeaten streak to three races Saturday at Woodbine in the $150,000 Vandal Stakes. After being gathered back early by Patrick Husbands, Uncaptured dueled up front with Weather Bill through moderate fractions in the six-furlong dash for Ontario-bred 2-year-olds. Uncaptured took control early in the stretch, and then out-kicked the large River Seven to win by a length, in 1:10.37. First-time starter Dynamic Sky, who like Uncaptured, is trained by Mark Casse, finished a distant third in the five-horse field. The Casse-trained Calgary Cat was scratched, which led to no show wagering. Husbands said the sky could be the limit for Uncaptured, who won the 5 1/2-furlong Clarendon Stakes with a 94 Beyer Speed Figure second time out June 30. "He's so classy," said Husbands. "Anything you ask him to do, he'll do. We're just going one step at a time. Definitely, he will go further." Uncaptured, a son of Lion Heart, collected $90,000 for owner John Oxley.
