Best Bet: ROMANTIC MOMENT (8th)    Spot Play: HILLBILLY HANOVER (6th)

Race 1

(7) THEPANINSULAHOTEL is dropping down in class and is certainly due for a win. This could be his night. (4) OK BOROMIR is also dropping down in class and after three starts it looks like he's got his legs under him. He's won at a much higher level in the past. (10) DOUBLE DRIBBLE continues to be racing well, but will have to overcome post 10. I hope he uses his gate-speed to get situated in the early going.

Race 2

(2) AMERICAN JEWEL is a world record holder and richest sophomore pacing filly this season. She draws inside with her regular driver Tetrick. She's the horse to beat. If there's one horse that can beat her, it's (6) ECONOMY TERROR. She did so in her latest start and I'm expecting a similar trip in this short field. (4) BETTER B LUCKY will add Lasix for the first time and has had a terrific campaign. Burke always has his horses ready.

Race 3

(4) LITTLE BROWN FOX has missed the board only twice this season and always races well in Canada. It may appear that he's tailing off late in the season, but Takter will have him ready. Expect him near or on the front. (5) PRESTIDIGATOR showed a gutsy mile in his latest start to fend off Knows Nothing. Jones said that PRESTIDIGATOR races better in the fall months like last year. Use that statement to your advantage. (7) STORMIN NORMAND is very fresh with only nine starts this season. He might offer value and he's worth a shot.

Race 4

(4) MARKET SHARE is clearly the horse to beat not only in this elimination, but also in his division. He captured the Hambletonian and Canadian Trotting Classic along with being the richest three-year-old this season. (1) GUCCIO doesn't always win, but he's always in the hunt and often hits the board in big money events. He's been blessed with post one and has terrific gate-speed. (7) MY MVP captured the Futurity in his latest outing, which tells me he couldn't be coming into this race any better.

Race 5

(1) BEATGOESON HANOVER showed terrific final quarter speed in his last start to finish a very strong second. There are a number of mares that could win this race, but I'm going to give her top billing. (2) MYSTICAL STARLIGHT has been very consistent in her last five starts and I expect that to continue. O'Sullivan always has his horses in top form. (8) PANTHOLOPS has shown a level of inconsistency this season and that could happen again in here. I'm looking for value.

Race 6

(3) HILLBILLY HANOVER hasn't won a race this season from 17 starts, but dropped major time in his last race for his first start for his new connections. Any type of repeat effort and he's the winner. (6) WARRAWEE NEEDY is my pick for second. I'm going to overlook his latest line because he's never raced well on a half-mile track this season. He's much better on a big track and in a field like this you may get value. (2) BETTORS EDGE continues to be very consistent and be top three. With an inside post to work with, it will likely happen again.

Race 7

(9) FORECLOSURE N will debut for his new connections and based on his latest performance tells me that he should be able to handle this group since he'll be racing in the Breeders Crown. (5) BIGTIME BALL drops down in class and will offer low value. He's been racing very well lately at the top class. (4) MYSTICIAN has been showing solid final quarter speed in his last two starts and drops down in class.

Race 8

(8) ROMANTIC MOMENT has been absolutely superior this season with nine wins from 13 starts. She's never missed the board and will be the heavy favourite in here. (3) SHELLISCAPE has been finding her best stride late in the year and draws a good post. She beat ROMANTIC MOMENT before and she could do it again. (6) HANDSOFFMYCOOKIE will have to step up her game, but proves that she deserves a chance in this class. She moves onto the big track in this race and I think she will benefit from that.

Race 9

(8) BETTOR SWEET finally got his first win of the season under his belt. He couldn't be coming into this race any better for the Breeders Crown next week. He captured the Crown last year and is shaping up to do it again. (4) FOILED AGAIN brings a top effort every start.  (3) ARACACHE HANOVER was absolutely flying at the end of the mile last week in Lexington. He draws inside and I'm sure will use it to his advantage.

Race 10

(5) SWEET LOU finally won a big race this season and is always right there at the wire. He won the Breeders Crown last year in world record fashion and he could do it again. (7) HESTON BLUE CHIP qualified with the ear plugs in at Lexington in his latest outing. That's a scary, good qualifying effort, which tells me that he's a `must have' on your triactor wagers. (4) A ROCKNROLL DANCE usually races near or on the front all season, but lately he's been coming from behind. It will be interesting to see what Gingras will do with him.

Race 11

(5) IM FEELIN GOOD is down in class again where he shows he's very competitive. He's due for a win. (6) BULLET SPEED overcame post 10 last start to finish a very strong second. He's got an even better post to work with in here. (7) UPFRONT HOOSIERBOY rattled off a pair of wins before finishing fourth in his latest outing. I can see him being top three in here.

Race 12

(7) TWIN B WARRIOR has been on the board in each of his last five starts, including a pair of wins. The Jamieson-Gillis combination is always lethal. (6) WORLD AWAY surprised me last week with his performance. It looks like he's rounding into form and hopefully that continues. (4) IDEAL MATTERS went a tough trip last week after being parked to the opening quarter. I'm looking for a cleaner trip as Vanderkemp always has his horses ready to go.
