Winter Garden ($3.80) won her third stakes of the Woodbine meeting in Saturday's $137,750 Ontario Fashion Handicap.

Whistling Maid led the way in the six-furlong dash for fillies and mares, through an opening quarter 22.28 seconds. Winter Garden came along the rail from a stalking position to assume command under jockey David Clark through a half in 44.62, and then disposed of Big Cheque in the stretch en route to a 1 3/4-length score over a closing El Prado Essence. The final time was 1:10.35.

"Going down the backside, she was nice and relaxed," Clark said. "I picked her up a little bit, and she just did the rest on her own."

Winter Garden banked $81,750 for owner Frank DiGiulio Jr. and trainer Bob Tiller.

* Clark also won the $112,000 River Memories Stakes aboard the Mac Benson-trained My Pal Lana. My Pal Lana ($23.70) covered a mile over yielding turf in 1:39.48. Ginger Gold finished 1 1/2 lengths back in second. Favored Dedication was pulled up at the top of the stretch. She was found to have bled.
