I'll side with (6) MAGICAL LADY, who was a solid third to a tough repeat winner last time and could be rounding into top form for trainer Bax now. (5) CASCADA looks to repeat in this class after an excellent win from the 10-hole, but this field looks tougher. (2) KUIL DEVA continues to be one to use underneath in this class. (7) SMOKEE MIRRORS exits Grand Circuit company and is worth a look here for the exotics. Race 2 (4) HP PANDORA made a big move in her first try in a claimer, but she couldn't sustain it late. A more measured trip gets it done here. (6) QUEENOFTHEJUNGLE caught fire last week to score at a huge price. If she can replicate that late kick, she'll be hard to hold off. (5) E R RHONDA made a couple of moves in a good effort and she's always dangerous at this level. (2) JORDIES HOPE can pick up some pieces late here. Race 3 (4) PARKHILL NONSTOP was unruly in the pocket last time and he had to be sent first up which obviously didn't work. Dropping two classes here, maybe Hudon will roll him; slight nod. (6) GLENCOVE ZANI is another erratic sort who can be very good when he behaves. He can win this if he stays flat. (5) BLAMEITONTHEWHISKY is one I will use in the Picks as insurance considering the top two are inconsistent. He won in this class two back when a 2/5 chalk broke at the outset. (8) DOTTIE has improving form and she can close for a slice here. Race 4 (4) STOLEN ART comes off two sharp tries out of town and his price might be good here, even picking up McNair to drive; top call. (2) MASTER FASTER raced much better in his second Mohawk start and he merits a look here. (8) BRUNO FROM MARS was no match for a promising colt who won in fast time under wraps. He's one of several that seemingly can win this as is (5) WINDSUN SILVER who was good late in his season debut. Race 5 (3) LEAN HANOVER is the class here and with him dropping a level following a good comeback effort, I'll use him as my single. (1) B YOYO got in an old-fashioned third 1/4 throwdown last week and hung in there decently despite losing the battle. He's a contender here. (5) CABERTOSS is one I've been on every week who should be coming late again here; using underneath. (6) ON A SUNNY DAY is capable, but I'll give her one as she starts her four-year-old campaign. Race 6 Interesting Preferred Trot with a couple of classy players shipping in. I'll side with (3) WILL TAKE CHARGE who shows the best mile this year two back in the Maxie Lee. (2) ACHILLE DUHARAS has progressed into a very nice horse and he is a main contender here. (1) DANCER HALL has been on fire, but the top two here might be a bit too tough for him. (5) WARAWEE ROO was picked off late last time in a good effort and he isn't out of this. Race 7 (6) BID WRITER goes for Auciello off the claim here which is reason enough for me to take a swing, even is she is moving up the class ladder. (2) DONTBRUISECARRIE made two moves last time and was motoring late. She's a must-use for me here. (7) WHISTYS PARADISE switched tactics last time and fared okay. That may prime her for a sharp closing effort here. (8) INSINCERITY can close late to land on the edges again here. Race 8 (2) TWOFOURROADIE sticks out as the best horse here, but he must be mindful of pace and time his move correctly. (3) BRED FOR GREATNESS was racing well before breaking last time and he can be a threat racing from close range here. (1) TOTALLY RIPPED merits a look on connections alone in this field. (7) AMOREUSE HANOVER is interesting because if she is sent off the gate she could stick around for a long time. Race 9 (3) XFINITY BEACH made several moves last week in an impressive effort and based on what I saw there, I'll make her tonight's Best Bet and late Pick 4 single. (6) TWICE AS SPICY is sharp and will likely provide a challenge racing on or near the front. (2) PRECISION HANOVER was just behind the choice last time and she should take another share in this short field. (1) PEARL BLUE CHIP is obviously capable, but the two scratches and missed time makes her a bet against for me here. Race 10 (5) WILD AND CRAZY GUY drops to a similar level to the one at which he won two starts back; top call. (3) O NARUTAC PERFETTO was beaten by the choice last time, but he's capable of turning the tables with the right trip. (4) CATCH THE DREAM is another who can win at this level and he can be raced effectively from anywhere; using. (1) POP I is on a good roll, but these are tougher. I'll use him underneath here.
