Best Bet: JIMMY FREIGHT (9th) Spot Play: AMERICAN WIGGLE (8th) Race 1 - $50,000 Guaranteed Pick Five Pool Race 4 - $50,000 Guaranteed Pick Four Pool PICK 5: 1,4,5/1,3/1,3,4/6,8/1,5,6 = $21.60 EARLY PICK 4: 6,8/1,5,6/4,5/1,6 = $24 LATE PICK 4: 4,6/5,6/1,2,3,5/1,7,8 = $48 MEET STATS: 145 - 371 / $925.50  BEST BETS: 23 - 40 / $78.70 SPOT PLAYS: 16 - 38 / $98.50 Race 1 This looks like a spot where (5) FANCOURT can blast then sit the pocket behind leader (4) NIRVANA SEELSTER, who faces much easier here and should last longer. Nod to the former based on the projected good trip. (1) CLASSY DRAGON is another who is likely to sit until the stretch and he could win if everything shakes out his way in the lane. (3) ROCKIN IN HEAVEN was live late last time, but this is a tough group for him and a small share is likely. Race 2 (3) GRANTMEAWISH was finally unleashed last time and we saw what he could do - a 1:51 2/5 mile under wraps. Beat him to greet the cashier here. (1) WHEN YOU DANCE was third to a very good colt in the North America Cup Consolation and he's the other obvious one that you need on Pick 5 tickets. (9) BURNING MIDNIGHT popped and stopped in that same race and he is likely to be closing belatedly this time. (6) SHARP ACTION MONEY is worth a look for the exotics coming off a very good try last Saturday. Race 3 This race looks like one that will go to the horse that makes the last move, so I'll side with (1) JINS SHARK, who should be flying late. (3) TRACEUR HANOVER exploded the tote board when winning last Saturday and he comes right back in the same class here; using. (4) ASAP HANOVER provided perfect cover to the one above in a good effort. He's a threat here. (2) IDEAL JET has been fun to watch burning up the track for as far as he will go, but I think some of these will get by him in the lane this time. Race 4 (6) JM JACK OF HEARTS recent win was one of the most visually impressive of the meet so far and he deserves top billing off that excellent mile. (8) TRUMP THAT laid down a massive third 1/4 last time in demolishing lesser. He is one you can't ignore here.  (3) HOMEY JOE came back ready to play and almost notched a huge upset. He fits here and I'll use him underneath. (4) LIFE HAPPENED should bounce back with a better effort in this spot and he's in with an upset chance. Race 5 (1) AMERICAN HUSTLE paced first up and uncovered a long way and he still got the job done in an impressive effort last week; call to repeat. (6) DREAMY FELLA is sneaky in here leaving from a good post. I look for him to float for position in the top 5 early which would make him a threat at a price. (5) CULTURAL PARADISE had pace but he was coming too late last week. He's in with a chance dropping one class level here. (3) BILLS FELLA was the beneficiary when the race fell apart last week. A smaller share is likely for him in this spot. Race 6 This race should come down to the two fillies exiting the Grand Circuit, with the nod going to Fan Hanover winner (4) SHOWER PLAY. (5) SUDDEN PASSING is a formidable foe who is more tactical and could get the jump on the choice. Use both in the early Pick 4. (6) WRITE ME A SONG comes off a lifetime-best score but now she steps into the deep end; use underneath. (8) KENDALL SEELSTER had an eventful trip in the Fan Hanover. She will be a price here again and she's not impossible vs. these. Race 7 (1) LONDON SEELSTER came with a tremendous closing rush last Saturday but the winner slid up the pylons as he was taking the overland route. He looks best here. (6) DREAMFAIR B J  paced a 26 4/5 second 1/4 to make front which softened him up just enough to get picked off by the 2nd choice. He is a big speed threat here. (5) SPORTS COLUMN is obviously classy and fast, the only question is: does he need a race or two? (7) MACHAL JORDAN can pass some of these in the back 1/2 and take a share. Race 8 (6) AMERICAN WIGGLE won in a similar class easily at odds of 1/5 last time and this doesn't look much tougher; call to repeat. (4) SHOE SHINE was live last week when the early pace collapsed. He has tactical speed if needed and he fits here. (7) FIREBALL has been racing well in these classes and he can take a slice here. (2) SPEEDLING should be forwardly placed at the start here and that puts him in the mix. Race 9 (6) JIMMY FREIGHT comes off an excellent performance vs. salty open pacers in the Mohawk Gold Cup and he deserves top billing here. (5) ST LADS NEPTUNE has progressed rapidly this summer and he doesn't have to face Lather Up this time. He's the choice's only worry on paper. (2) SIMPLE KINDA MAN was good last week in a tough conditioned race last week but this is obviously no easy spot. He can close for a share. (1) THE DOWNTOWN BUS is another good one to use underneath here as he can pass some of these down the lane. Race 10 (3) BIG BANG BOOM showed a new dimension last week, rallying late for a new lifetime-best score. I'll give him the nod here. (1) SHADOW MARGEAUX steps up off a tripped-out win, but he could land in the same sweet spot here and get a similar journey; using. (5) FINE DIAMOND drops slightly but he is such an infrequent winner that I'll play to beat him again here. (2) SHADES OF BAY has been having some major issues with bearing out lately. He is capable vs. these if he paces a straight line, but that's hard to predict at this point. Race 11 (7) VELOCITY DRIVEN takes a notable class plunge here and he should beat these if he is within range turning for home. (1) OSBORNE SEELSTER had trouble keeping up to a rapid pace last week, but the early pace scenario here should get him a better trip; using. (8) THORN IN YOUR SIDE can take a share at this level and if he blasts off the gate and clears, he might just go all the way. (9) FREDDY BEAR faces easier here and he can pass many of these to land on the edges. (2) SUNNY BEACH DAY is another one that will be closing late who is good to use underneath.
