Top Pick Stats: 227 - 705 / $1,246.30 (-$163.70) Best Bets: 37 - 63 / $138.70 (+$12.70) Spot Plays: 14 - 64 / $83.30 (-$44.70) Best Bet: THE HAZLETON (8TH) Spot Play: NUZZLE LOADER (2ND) Early Pick 5: 4/4,5,9/1,6/1,2,3,9/5,8 = $9.60 Late Pick 5: 2,6,7/5,9/8/3,5/1,3,7 = $7.20 Early Pick 4: 1,2,3,9/5,8/2,6,7/5,9 = $9.60 Late Pick 4: 8/1,3,5/1,3,7/1,5,6,8,9 = $6 Race 1: 5YO and Younger winners of 2 (F&M3) but not more than 4 (F&M5) or $48,500 LT AE: 4YO and 5YO to be claimed for $50,000 **Gtd. $100,000 Pick 5** Breeders Crown winner (4) GAINES HANOVER should dust these if he is driven with intent but keep in mind there will be much bigger purses to shoot for all summer long. (3) DAHLQUIST HANOVER raced well in defeat last week and he is the other one I'll use because he could have the jump on the choice when they turn for home. (7) BELLA CAVALLA is right there every week, and she is in the exotics mix again tonight. (2) SHES BEER LEAGUE raced better last week. I can see her sneaking into the exotics tonight. [DRF HARNESS: Get Harness Eye PPs for this card] Race 2: BILLINGS AMATEUR SERIES: NW $2,300 LAST 3 STARTS. AE: STARTERS FOR A PURSE OF $9,000 OR LESS LAST 3 STARTS (4) NUZZLE LOADER is one of the best in here, but it is likely more significant that his driver has won 12 races while his rival teamsters in this race have a combined 0 for 61 record this year; top call. (9) LOVEMYROCKINBIRD jogged from a wide post in London on Wednesday night, and he figures to be a speed threat right back; using. (8) LETS GET PICKLED is in solid form and he has won several times at this track in the past. He should be in the mix from the outset. (7) ARTISTIC PICK rarely misses the top four. He's a good one to use on the bottom here. [DRF BETS: Wager on tonight's Mohawk Park card at DRF Bets.com!] Race 3: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GOLD LEG 1. 3 YEAR OLD TROTTING COLTS & GELDINGS (6) HASTY BID has been terrific in both starts at three, but one rival was just a bit better. He looks best here, and he should take beating as the chalk. (1) SNOWPIERCER is likely sitting on a big mile making hos third start back and he will likely get a more aggressive steer here; Exacta factor. (3) DARBYSHIRE had no shot in the SBOA final when he got parked the mile. He figures to get a much better trip here and he should be part of the exotics. (2) GHOSTLY CASPER is another that should be in the mix for a slice with the move to an inside post tonight. Race 4: 5YO and Younger winners of 2 (F&M3) but not more than 4 (F&M5) or $48,500 LT AE: 4YO and 5YO to be claimed for $50,000 - Pick 4 (3) GRATEFUL towered up late last week, but it was too late. He is worth a bet here at a price because if he starts up earlier in tonight's mile, he is capable. (9) EDEN ONTHEHILL closed well in a fast race, and he is another that could do here if he is closer at the head of the lane; using. (2) WARRAWEE XALT comes off a decent first up try and he is another in with a shot in this wide-open dash. (1) SOUTHWIND DOMINO was one-paced late last week but so where his rivals that were in pursuit and he hung on. He will likely be an underlay tonight. Race 5: NW $14,500 L5 or $24,000 L10 AE: NW6 LT (5) SAFE CONDUCT had the misfortune of lining up on the gate four times in a row with super mare Adare Castle to start his four-year-old campaign. There are none like her in here and he should get the job done tonight. (8) CALL ME DANI can be sharper in this second local start for the leading trainer and that makes her a contender despite rising in class tonight. (4) STAY CLOSE is inconsistent but he can take a share at this level. (3) ONEY HALL was being carefully driven when he got picked off last time out then he missed time due to sickness. I’ll have to let him beat me here. Race 6: ONTARIO SIRES STAKES: GOLD LEG 1. 3 YEAR OLD TROTTING COLTS & GELDINGS - Pick 5 (2) TUSCAN PRINCE looked a sure winner at the head of the lane when he switched to the pace last week. If he minds his manners, he can make amends here. (7) OSCEOLA took advantage of the choice's miscue to keep his 2023 record perfect and he appears to have matured from a manners standpoint. He is an obvious contender. (6) PASSARINO had an impossible parked trip and he kept coming. He isn’t out of this. (1) OH LOOK MAGIC is better than he has shown so far this year. I can see him rallying for a slice tonight. Race 7: CLM HDCP $12,000 to $16,000 (9) WINDSONG GRAYSON raced great off the claim but the rival that he couldn't catch is just too good right now. He looks solid vs. these. (5) ROYAL RENEGADE couldn’t be restrained in the pocket last week and Roy had to let him roll. He wasn't beaten far by the choice, and he should be the one to catch here. (7) DREAMFAIR MOXY raced okay off the Waxman claim then missed a week. I can see him landing in the Tri in this field. (8) HIGH FLYIN JAMIE will likely blast for position here and he can sneak into the Super. Race 8: 3 YEAR OLD COLTS & GELDINGS: GRASSROOTS STARTERS IN 2023 - Pick 4 These races can be tricky because they are in between Grassroots starts but the purses are comparable so the intent should be there. (8) THE HAZLETON comes in off a dominating and fast win at Flamboro and he is strictly the one to beat. (2) BUSTING WITH PRIDE was 2nd to the choice but he'd have to make up almost four lengths on him to beat him. (5) GAME BUSTER is fast enough to contend here if he stays flat. Perhaps the big track is what he needs. (4) STONEBRIDGE JASPER is improving, and he should be an exotics factor in this field. Race 9: FREE FOR ALL There is a nice clash lined up here as (3) LOGAN PARK meets (5) FASHION FRENZIE who makes his first start as a five-year-old. Edge to the former who is razor-sharp right now. (4) HP MAMA B looks next best, and she should sit a good trip racing near the front and land in the Tri.  (6) PATRIARCH HANOVER had no chance to close last week into a 26 and change kicker. He can come on late to take a slice tonight. [DRF HARNESS: Sign up for our FREE DRF Harness Digest Newsletter] Race 10: NW $21,500 L5 or $39,000 L8 AE: 4YO (3) GIGONDAS fits well here after finishing 3rd behind Locatelli and Perfetto and I'll take a price stab with him. (1) TWIN B ARCHIE drops and adds Lasix for this second start back and sharp improvement is likely; using. (7) PIKACHU HANOVER showed some grit last week when he surged nearing the wire to get up. He's too sharp to ignore right now. (2) MUSCLE FASHION should flash speed and stick around for a share in this spot. Race 11: NW $8,000 L5 or Starters for a purse of $15,000 or less L2 AE: OPT CLM $45,000 (1) DULY RESOLVED drops again and he is fast enough to beat these. I expect Macdonell to move him to the front in the second 1/4 and he should be the one to catch. (6) HAMMER TIME inherited a win when the leader jumped it off and snatched defeat from the jaws of victory, but he is sharp, and he draws best. He should contend despite stepping up in class. (8) RENEGADE GYPSY should improve in this second start back facing easier and contend for at least a share. (5) KAMERAN HANOVER shoots for a threepeat after beating a decent field in London and he isn't impossible in this spot. (9) CLEVELAND MASSIMO fits well here but he has missed three weeks. I see him closing late for a small slice.
