Woodbine makes executive changes


The Woodbine Entertainment Group has announced several new executive appointments following its monthly board meeting last Friday.

"I'm set to take over as chief executive officer in June," said Nick Eaves, president and until recently chief operating officer of Woodbine Entertainment. "These changes were about setting ourselves up with a new leadership group, to take over the primary focus of our business."

Jamie Martin has been promoted to executive vice president of racing, and also will assume overall responsibility for marketing and communications.

Sean Pinsonneault, formerly vice president of wagering services, will assume overall responsibility for all operating departments of the company as executive vice president and chief operating officer.

Eddie Stutz will work closely with Pinsonneault as senior vice president, operations.

Steve Mitchell, executive vice president and chief financial offer, will also assume responsibility for capital projects and property development initiatives.

All the appointments are effective immediately.
