Laughing Falcon, ridden by Matt Moore, won the Passing Mood Stakes on Saturday for her third victory in as many career starts.

ETOBICOKE, Ontario – The favored Laughing Falcon went straight to the lead and never looked back to take the $126,200 Passing Mood Stakes at Woodbine on Saturday.

With Matt Moore aboard, Laughing Falcon set fractions of 22.65 and 45.92 seconds in the seven-furlong turf sprint for Ontario-sired 3-year-old fillies. She turned back a late bid from Rootham Triple E’s and scored by three-quarters of a length in 1:21.96 over firm ground. Dancing Bay rallied wide from far back for third in the 11-horse field.

“She settled really well for me,” Moore said. “When I saw them come to me, I just let her go a little bit, and she kicked on.”

Laughing Falcon ($8.10) earned $75,000 for owner and breeder Rolph Davis. She is unbeaten in three career starts for trainer Bob Tiller.

• The seventh race on the card was canceled after a long ambulance delay involving an assistant starter who was injured at the gate. The track veterinarian deemed that the horses were on the hot Polytrack for too long during the delay, a situation that could have led to heatstroke.
