The 2-year-old filly Kitty's Got Class improves to 2 for 2 by taking the Victorian Queen.

ETOBICOKE, Ontario — Kitty’s Got Class  overcame an awkward break to romp in the $125,000 Victorian Queen Stakes, a six-furlong sprint  for Ontario-sired 2-year-old fillies on Saturday at Woodbine..

Kitty’s Got Class ($5.70) broke inward from the 1-hole, before dragging jockey Eurico Da Silva to the lead. She proceeded to set fractions of 22.71 and 46.42 seconds, before drawing away on her left lead in the stretch to score by six lengths, in 1:11.20.

“She’s a green filly,” said Da Silva. “She’s just learning now, but she’s very talented.”

Nikkis Bold Gelato rallied wide for second, and I’veatigerinmytank was a distant third. Even-money favorite Notacloudinthesky faded to fifth after a stalking trip.

The Mike DePaulo-trained Kitty’s Got Class banked $75,000 in her stakes debut, and is unbeaten in two starts for owners Mike Colterjohn and Denny Andrews.

* Ariana D ($5.80) rallied strongly from off a lively pace under Omar Moreno to take the $101,000 Avowal Stakes, which was taken off the turf and run over seven furlongs on the Polytrack.
