Judiths Wild Rush, last year's Canadian champion sprinter, proved an authoritative winner of the $126,200 at Woodbine.

Judiths Wild Rush stalked the pace between rivals in the six-furlong dash, as front-runners High Volt Jolt and High Blitz vied through fractions of 22.20 and 44.51 seconds. Jockey Jim McAleney found room for Judiths Wild Rush nearing the quarter pole, and they hit the front at the top of the stretch before drawing off for a 2 1/4-length tally.

"I was able to settle him down the backside, and he got his feet underneath him," said McAleney. "I had to move sooner than I wanted to go, but I knew his class would carry me home."

Judiths Wild Rush completed the distance in 1:09.17, earning $75,000 for Tenenbaum Racing Stable and trainer Reade Baker.

High Volt Jolt finished a length in front of Super Fuse in second. Are You Serious, the 5-2 favorite, was sixth in the eight-horse field.
