STORMONT FRIED (OntS3YOF) Brushed to the lead coming to the half, went down the road as far as she could. Beaten favorite can atone in next.
WINDSUN T BIRD (CLM10000FM) Rallied well the last three-eighths weaving through traffic and finishing strongly. A repeat looms.
DEUCE MAN (CLMHCP10/15000/3YO) Rushed to the top, set the pace under pressure throughout and dug in stubbornly.
ADREAMCOMESTRUE AS (NW2) Finished full of trot from back of the pack in most recent outing and same move will down most fields of this ilk.
Friday, October 5
TROPICAL BREEZE (NW16500FM) Got stuck in traffic and closed willingly clearing in the last steps.
HOUSE MONEY (OntS3YO) Dug in gamely to earn second behind a well bet winner.
CLASSY LANE ROSE (NW8000FM) Finished fast, won going away and is in line for another score.
TWIN B ELITE (OntS3YOF) Cleared too late but rallied well between horses once that route opened.
Saturday, October 6
LEONIDES DE VIE (NW5000) Beaten favorite finished full of trot but had lagged too far behind to make up the lengths.
ANDERLECHT (NW14000) angled out, finished fast from the back of the pack but could not catch the heavy favorite.
THE MECHANIC (NW8000) Charged home, won going away and can beat better.
REBEL JET (OntS3YO) Began his rally to the third panel, scooted up quickly along the rail, swung off into the stretch, continued his handy rally, ducked in and closed sharply. Should get it done next time
Monday, October 8
ROLLS BLUE CHIP (NW1/2-3YO) Chased the prohibitive favorite home with good speed while obviously second best.
WINBAK CARL (CLMHCP20/30000/3YO) Got stuck in the too tight pocket through the lane searching for racing room but never had a chance to rally his best.
VEGAS VACATION (NW2/2-3YO) Was full of trot through the lane in last clicking off a :26.2 last panel but it was too late.
SLIP INTO GLIDE (NW21000) Came wide into the lane, cleared poor cover, rallied gamely in solid but late effort.
Best Bets
MOST HAPPY FELLA, reclaimed from last, drops to easier spot after setting pressured pace vs. odds-on Pinball; both wins last year came on this track. ARTIE LUVSTO PARTY has a knack for surprises, with three lifetime wins coming at 33-1, 17-1 & 11-1 (two on this track); entrymate EQUIVOCATION gets major rider switch first off a claim. PURE ATTITUDE among top 3 in wins & earnings and snug fit to date clause.
