He gets my nod. (1) POP I was used hard for the first 3/4 last week and he predictably tired. He should get an easier trip here and contend for the win. (6) ETRUSCAN HANOVER trotted the whole way last time, which is encouraging. He could turn his game up now and beat these. (4) P L JERICO steps back up after notching an upset score. He figures to take a small share here. Race 2 (4) AMERICAN VIRGIN will likely launch an early assault here if he stays flat this time; slight nod. (3) NIRVANA SEELSTER is the one to beat, having won three of the last four in this top class, but he won't get the same soft trip he got last time. (1) THE REV is always in the thick of things and he will be pushing the rail for position here early. I'll use him in the Pick 5 along with the top two. (2) TRACEUR HANOVER should complete either the Super or the Tri here. Race 3 (2) THE POWER OF MANY is in top form and he goes for a cagey barn off the claim here; top call. (8) CLASS ME NICE will no doubt be blasting from out there and he may prove tough to catch if he can clear quickly. (7) MEADOWBRANCHCHARLIE was a good third last time he raced in this class; consider for exotics. (3) XTATIC HANOVER comes back much quicker here and he is worth a look as a possible upsetter. Race 4 (1) REIKI came up against a winner that was ready to fire his best shot last time and that horse would likely smoke this group, too. I expect a much better effort from this gelding in this spot. (3) PAULY WALLY woke up last time off a good trip, but he is capable of even better when he is on his game and he is coming around now. Classy veteran (6) MACHAL JORDAN should give these a run for their money in his third start back; using. (2) MAJOR LEGACY was resilient in victory last time, but these are tougher and he'll likely finish on the edges here. Race 5 (1) SHADES OF BAY stayed bottled up the whole way last time as his stable mate controlled a slow pace. He gets to drop now and he should be loaded with energy for a big try here. (3) FINE DIAMOND is dangerous at this level and he and the choice may settle this dash in the lane. (2) FANCOURT has big speed on his best day and he's not out of this, but I suspect he will have trouble with the top two here. (5) BLATANTLY BEST may get bet here, but he has been raced sparingly this year and I'll play to beat him here. Race 6 (2) MEADOWBRANCH MEMO doesn't greet the track photographer very often, but this looks like a race that will set up in his favor; top call. (8) MANOFMANYMISSIONS had a tough trip last time and he is a contender here, but he will need to avoid being first up. (5) HLDONTGHTTOYURDRMS showed little in the slop last time, but him bouncing back here for the leading trainer and driver would not be a shock. (3) HONOR ABOVE ALL is capable of hitting the ticket racing from close range. Race 7 (7) NASCAR SEELSTER raced well fresh on several occasions last year. He is worth a stab here adding Lasix and driver Henry. (8) ROCKIN WIZARD was a short-priced winner last time he raced this low and he is one I think you must include on Pick 4 tickets. (3) REGAL SON is another class dropper that merits inclusion here. (6) SINGLE WHITE SOCK is usually around the money at this level. He can complete the Tri or Super. Race 8 (6) MODERN REFLECTION looked like a new horse last week racing out of the Moreau barn and this spot doesn't look any tougher. He should double up here. (8) HALF A BILLION goes for a barn that has been hot of late and he could provide some value here for exotic wagers. (1) SOUTHWIND MASIMO is worth a look racing out of the Auciello barn for the first time off the claim here. (7) E L WILD SPIRIT was super last time in his first start off the claim, but this is a much tougher spot; small share predicted. Race 9 (1) KAZIMOTO got room last time when it was too late as the winner was roaring past on the far outside. He can turn the tables here with a different trip. (7) OLLIESTRIKESFAME has raced well for several weeks, and he is a must-use in this late Pick 4. (2) SWELLENDAM raced okay from the worst post last time and he is in with a shot moving inside here. (3) LYONS WILLIAM is helped by the short field here and if he gets a breather on the lead, he may be tough to catch. Race 10 (7) MIGHTY NICKY was really digging in down the lane last time, but the leader was too hard to catch after stealing a 1:00 3/5 middle 1/2. He can turn the tables here if the pace is reasonable. (5) ACHILLE DUHARAS beat the choice last time as the chalk and while he is a contender here again, he may be over bet off that win. (2) SOUTHWIND TESLA was impressive in her seasonal debut and she's the third one I'll use in the Pick 4. (6) FRENCH BASTILLE should be good for a smaller share in here.
