Race 4 - $75,000 Guaranteed Pick Four Pool

Best Bet (17 - 34 / $56.20): BURNIN MONEY (8th)

Spot Play: MACH OF BALLYKEEL (12th)

Race 1

(3) FIRST IMPRESSION is fresh off a claim and at this level, he's always a threat. He's got five wins from 12 starts this season and draws well. (8) SILVER DRAGON is fresh off a victory and remains at the same class. He begins from the same post as last week and has terrific gate-speed. (2) DUKE DID IT draws inside and should benefit from a ground saving trip. He's definitely capable of hitting the board.

Race 2

(4) MY MAN moves onto this circuit after racing at Pompano Park. He enters the Moreau barn, shows quick speed and draws well. (10) HLDONTGHTTOYURDRMS will have to overcome post 10, but he does have gate-speed and comes out of Johnson's barn. He's on a three race winning streak and although he moves up in class, he'll attract a lot of attention. (9) VIMY RIDGE is a good candidate for the triactor. He's been much better in his last two starts and with the right trip he's very playable.

Race 3

(3) ONE MORE GINNY returned to top form in her first start back last week and I feel that she can only be better in her second start. She holds the Woodbine track record from last season and she may not go off as the favourite. (4) SHEER GLIDE went gate-to-wire last week and was very impressive in the win. She's been at her best in recent weeks and that likely will continue. (6) KENDRA HANOVER has a terrific record this season and is a top threat in this final. She comes out of Allard's barn and likely won't provide value.

Race 4

(3) WHIPPET GOOD is the veteran of this field and draws well. He ran out of real-estate last week with his patented closing kick. If he's positioned well, he's a major contender. (4) THATS THE LIFE enjoys finishing fourth and I'm looking for a better effort from him. He draws inside and will need the right trip, but he shows enough speed and talent to be competitive. (7) CIONA BROMACH has hit the board in three of his last four starts, while providing high odds. He'll need the right trip and look for him late in the mile.

Race 5

(2) STONEBRIDGE TONIC will make his third straight start on this circuit and drops in class. He also draws inside and I'm hoping he'll provide a decent price. (7) KINDLY POET has a lot of back-class to him and also drops in class. He's a top contender in at this level. (9) MONTE CRISTO enjoys racing from off-the-pace and if quick speed is presented, he's the horse that can track his rivals down in deep stretch. I only hope he doesn't get away too far back.

Race 6

(4) HIGHLAND YANKEE likely will attract a lot of attention after his 1:54 3/4 timing in his most recent outing. He drops in class, draws inside and is looking for his first win of the season. (7) THE MECHANIC is fresh off a layoff and posted a strong qualifying effort, winning in 1:57 2/5. He used a :28 2/5 final frame and that's encouraging enough for me to believe that he's capable of hitting the exactor. (10) SLIP INTO GLIDE draws outside, but has gate-speed and posted a very strong qualifying effort. I think he's ready first start back.

Race 7

(6) STONEBRIDGE ON ICE gets significant class relief and at this level he can't be counted out. He won at this level three starts ago for Saftic. (7) IN COMMANDO raced in the Aquarius and Levy and moves back to this circuit. He's a much better horse than he's been showing and I'm looking for a better effort as he moves back into Lindsey's barn. (9) ODYSSEUS BLUECHIP found the wire first last week for first-time trainer Johnson. He moves slightly up in class and draws outside, but he was very impressive last week.

Race 8

(3) BURNIN MONEY was used hard to earn the front last week and fended off all challengers en route to victory. He draws well once again and I feel he's the horse to beat in the final. (7) NOWUCIT NOWUDONT was out every step last start, but was provided with cover to finish third. He draws better this week and I feel he'll be closer to the front. (2) HOLY HALIBUT got the pocket trip last week and couldn't find racing room. From the rail position, he's a 'must have' for the triactor.

Race 9

(5) MODERN LEGEND drops out of the Preferred and likely will be the post time favourite in this class. He's looking for his second win of the season and won the Preferred just two starts ago. (6) NO BU is certainly MODERN LEGEND's main rival as he also drops out of the Preferred. He comes out of the Allard barn and has been very competitive as of late. (8) OK COMMANDER should be better in his second start on this circuit. He's back on a seven-day rotation and won just two starts ago in 1:50 1/5.

Race 10

(3) MYSTICIAN drops in class, draws inside and comes out of the Gillis barn. He raced in the Open level just five starts ago and can't be overlooked at this lower class. (1) MACHS BEACH BOY gets post and class relief and should be more effective. I'm looking for a price on him and a better effort. (7) REIBERCROMBIE is fresh off a win and moves up in class. He has the gate-speed to be positioned well early and should provide a price once again.

Race 11

(8) BARE NECESSITY drops back into a claimer after racing in condition events in his last number of starts. He's been racing very well in his last two starts with a win and second place finish and comes out of Moreau's barn. Don't expect to see a price. (1) JDS CALEB MAN won at the bottom level last week and moves into a claimer. Trainer Nixon is classifying his horse accordingly as he draws inside. (3) MILLIONDOLLARTOUCH went gate-to-wire in this class last week, draws inside and comes out of Johnson's barn. Much like BARE NECESSITY, this horse likely won't offer any value.

Race 12

This is a very wide-open race but, (8) MACH OF BALLYKEEL won last week at Flamboro and moves into this bottom class on this circuit. He posted his first win of the season and comes out of Moreau's barn. (9) MIDNITE ROMP hasn't been finishing his miles as strongly in recent weeks and I'd like to see him get a trip. He's been put on the front regularly in the past few weeks. (10) BLACKBIRD SINGING has finished second in both of his last two starts. He'll have to overcome post 10, but has gate-speed and once again likely will provide high odds.
