Race 4 - $75,000 Guaranteed Pick Four Pool

Best Bet (13 - 29 / $44.60): WARRAWEE NEEDY (10th)    Spot Play: OUR MOJO (6th)

Race 1

(6) IGOTTOKEEPONMOVING dropped significant time in her latest victory last start. He remains at the same level and I wouldn't expect to get the same price. The addition of Lasix has seemed to help. (1) VALDABRO is a very good option for second, in my opinion. Although he's winless this year from 12 starts, he raced terrific last week with a :27 3/5 final quarter and draws the rail. (3) MY FRIEND JUSTIN came from off-the-pace last week and closed well to finish third. He draws inside and is Baillargeon's barn has been better in recent weeks.

Race 2

(3) UP THE CREDIT posted a very encouraging qualifier at Southern Oaks Training Center and Jamieson's horses are usually ready at first asking. He has faced much tougher competition and won't offer a price. (1) MONKEY ON MY WHEEL is a perfect three-for-three this year, but faces the boys for the first time. That makes a big difference, in my opinion, but she's still very capable. I feel it's between these two horses for the win. (4) STONEBRIDGE ON ICE isn't the most consistent horse, but he's been providing very fast times and with the correct trip, I feel he can hit the board.

Race 3

(2) BOOGIE WOOGIE draws inside and drops down to the bottom level. In his last two outings he's trotted home in :28 1/5 and if he's within striking range at the top of the stretch, I like his chances. (8) BIG PAYOUT is a top threat in this class. He's been first and second in his last two starts and very lightly raced this season. He continues to improve and likely wont offer a price. (3) SCARY GOOD is fresh off a pair of qualifiers and draws very well. His record isn't the best from last year, but he's at the bottom level, shows he has enough speed and likely will offer value.

Race 4

(3) WEB CAM scored a very impressive win at Flamboro in 1:53, winning by over five lengths. He will carry that victory into the bottom level condition on this circuit and that makes him a top threat. I also like the fact that Davis, Jr. remains the driver after the win at Flamboro. (2) THE LADIES MAN provided a longshot victory in his last start and he draws inside. He remains at the same level and has a good record to start off his season. (10) WILD DRAGON did most of the work on the front last week before tiring in deep stretch and had to settle for second. He'll have to overcome post 10, but shows good gate-speed and is a good option for the triactor.

Race 5

(8) VARADERO HANOVER was very impressive in his first start of the year and should be even better in this final. He can only improve off his winning effort as he scored a comfortable win. He also remains eligible to the North America Cup, so the connections think highly of him. (6) CLASSIC GENT will look to sweep the series and remains undefeated in eight starts this season. This will be his toughest race of his career, but he couldn't be coming into it any better. (10) ORILLIA JOE has a terrific record this season, but will have to overcome post 10. If VARADERO HANOVER and CLASSIC GENT aren't on their game, he's capable of providing the upset.

Race 6

(5) OUR MOJO moves up in class and hasn't posted a victory yet this season, but I liked the way he raced last start. He closed home in :27 3/5 after getting away last. He's due for a win, draws better and I'm price shopping. (6) VIMY RIDGE posted his first win of the season last week and remains at the same level. He got a terrific trip, draws well once again and I expect the same sort of tactics tried again. (2) MIDFIELD MAGIC added Lasix last week and that appeared to help. He draws inside and I expect to see the same type of effort.

Race 7

(9) THEPANINSULAHOTEL drops in class and should be much more competitive in this field. He draws outside, but at this level, he should be a top threat. (8) TOP GEAR has been racing well and remains at this same level for the third straight week. He's certainly a top contender in here and comes from a high percentage trainer. (5) UPFRONT HOOSIERBOY debuts for new trainer Johnson and that's the main reason for my selection. This horse has been in the Baillargeon barn since early 2011 and the change of scenery may help.

Race 8

(9) LUCKY TERROR was very impressive at Western Fair as he scored a comfortable victory. He now moves onto this circuit, gets Jamieson in the bike and should provide a price. (7) WHO DEY won at this level two starts ago and likely will provide a high price. He tends to be inconsistent, but at this level, he's capable of being a part of the triactor or exactor. (4) IRON N STEEL also tends to be inconsistent, but he draws well and gets Waples in the bike. This class is always tough to predict.

Race 9

(5) SPEED AGAIN hasn't won yet this season from eight starts, but he's at the lowest level he's been all season. He draws well and gets significant class relief. (4) PEENIE has been racing very well in his last four starts. He also draws well and has been knocking on the door in his last two outings. (2) WINDSUN CALLUM has been aggressively handled in his last two starts and it appears he races best that way. He draws inside, moves up in class and is a good option for the triactor.

Race 10

(2) WARRAWEE NEEDY returns to Canada after wintering in Florida before a trio of starts at The Meadowlands. He adds Lasix for the first time, draws inside and likely will be the post time favourite. (5) MODERN LEGEND is likely the only horse in this field that could upset Warrawee Needy. He's fresh off a win at this high level and likely won’t offer a price. (7) NO BU finished second to MODERN LEGEND last start, by a nose. He draws the outside post seven and will have to step up his game even more. He comes out of the Allard barn and is an obvious candidate for the triactor.

Race 11

(6) SOUTHWESTERN DREAM hasn't been at his best this season, but this will mark his second start in the O'Sullivan barn. This horse is a near millionaire with a ton of back-class. (1) MY MAN CHARLEY drew post 10 last week and now has been given the rail. He also drops in class and has terrific gate-speed. (9) STONEBRIDGE WISH finished second last week and has a good record this season. He does draw outside, but shows enough gate-speed and likely will provide a higher price.

Race 12

This is a very wide-open race, but I selected (6) TWIN B WARRIOR. He has a lot of back-class, comes out of the Gillis barn and gets Jamieson in the bike. (4) WHIPPET GOOD is always competitive in this bottom level as he drops back down in class. He draws well and always has a terrific final quarter. (3) REIBERCROMBIE moves into this level and will have to step up his performance to be competitive. I'm price shopping with him, but he's worth a look.
