Best Bet: SHIPPEN OUT (5th) Spot Play: CAMPASSION (1st) Race 1 - $50,000 Guaranteed Pick Five Pool Race 4 - $50,000 Guaranteed Pick Four Pool PICK 5: 4,5/4,5/1,5,6/8,9/5,9 = $9.60 EARLY PICK 4: 8,9/5,9/3,4,5/7,8 = $24 LATE PICK 4: 7,8/2,3,6/2,7/4,7,8 = $36 MEET STATS: 266 - 892 / $1,584.20   BEST BETS: 38 - 86 / $147.00 SPOT PLAYS: 28 - 86 / $230.50 Race 1 (5) CAMPASSION goes for a stable that can improve one immediately and he adds Lasix and lands in what looks like an good spot; top call in the opener of the last Woodbine card ever. (4) TWIN B PEACHES closed in 28-flat in her lone qualifier and she will rightfully take play here off her stakes lines from last year. She is the other one I will use in the Pick 5. (1) THAT'S WHAT I SAID raced well fresh last year and she is the second Blake Macintosh trainee in here. She should make the ticket starting from the inside. (2) ADDITUDE has done well so far this year, but she would need to drop a few seconds to beat them all here. Race 2 (4) SPEEDLING was game last week but couldn't chase down the freshly-claimed Moreau trainee Shippen Out, who was pacing home in 27 3/5. He should be tough in here. (5) NICKLE BAG gave it a good try in the slop but was picked off late by the two rivals that followed him the whole mile on the inside. He is the main danger here. (2) THORN IN YOUR SIDE is always a speed threat in this class, but I see one or both of the top two getting past him here. (3) WILLEY BITE can pass a few of these in the lane and complete the Tri or Super. Race 3 (6) COBALT MAN set some big splits after blasting from the outside last time and he was picked off very late. With the short field here, he can clear early, get a breather and seal the deal. (5) A BOY NAMED SUUUZZ is the obvious threat, having beat the choice last time. (1) NOBETTERPLACETOBE goes for a sharp outfit off the claim and if anyone is going to beat both choices, it's him. (3) HOPIESDRAGONINTHEDO figures to sit an inside trip and take another slice again. Race 4 (8) JENKINS CREEK fell prey to the dreaded 10-hole last time by getting pushed too fast early, then getting nailed in the final strides. Moving in a couple of slots can make the difference here. (9) LISVINNIE is the obvious other contender on paper, but he will have to overcome the worst post. (3) ROCK N FANTASY is getting closer, but he's likely best used underneath here. (7) BLUE LINE will be passing horses and he should be able to sneak onto the ticket here. Race 5 (5) SHIPPEN OUT took a new life's mark off the Moreau claim and he looks like a strong candidate to repeat here. (9) BAZINGA BRAD raced well in his first start out of the Johnson barn and he merits a look here. (4) SMALLTOWN TERROR is good for a smaller share every week it seems; use underneath. (10) REGIL TIGER is compromised by the worst post here and I'll play to beat him in this spot. Race 6 (5) VERO AMORE BI is tough to beat right now, and he has a good chance of controlling another race from start to finish. (3) NORTHERN STORMONT met his class limit last week in the Preferred, but he drops back down here to a spot where he should be heard from. (4) CATCH THE DREAM set the table for the winner last time by providing perfect cover. He could upset here if he can find a live helmet to follow. (1) O NARUTAC PERFETTO beat easier last week. I expect he will be closing belatedly for a share here. Race 7 (8) DRAKE set some big fractions and was just nailed last week. A repeat of that effort should make him a short-priced winner here. (7) J K COWBOY can improve sharply here with the barn change, so I'll use him in both Pick 4s. (5) IT'S A BIG SECRET has been sharp recently at London and he could get a good trip near the front here. Notice he did pace in 1:50 4/5 at Mohawk last year. (4) AUDREYS DREAM figures to finish on the edges again here. Race 8 (2) ODDS ON AMETHYST moves inside and the short field makes his task easier, even if he chooses to grind first up which he has done successfully many times in the past; top call. (6) BIG RICH is just one of many Moreau trainees that is at the top of his game right now and he is hard to leave out here. (3) B YOYO beat most of these three back and he's not out of this. This race should come down to one of the top three. (1) WILD AND CRAZY GUY is the best of the rest and he can complete the Super. Race 9 (2) KWICKY KWANZAA has been unlucky not to win one recently the way he has been racing. Maybe the luck evens out here. (7) J J MYSTIC STORM has never been better, and he may be tough to hold off late here. (3) KINGSLEY B can't seem to seal the deal and he figures to take a smaller share again. (6) NINOSCREDIT is another who will be there early, but likely finish on the fringes. Race 10 (8) I JASMIN has raced so well for Roy in two starts that you have to think win #2 is coming soon. I'll bet that it's tonight. (7) BRED FOR GREATNESS gave it a good try last week and he should be right there vs. these. (4) WINNING LYRIC finished okay up the inside last week and he could be coming late here too; using. (5) PARKHILL NONSTOP finally converted on Thursday night, but he had a soft trip then which he likely won't see here. (1) BROADWAY MAIJA has been on a roll vs. weaker out of town and she should make the High 5 ticket at a minimum here. [DRF HARNESS NEWSLETTER: Sign Up for the FREE DRF Harness Newsletter.
