If she stays flat, she should double up. (1) REGAL MAGICIAN looks next best, but he has had some gait issues of his own. (7) SVENSSON is worth a look getting a catch-driver back here. (4) SCOTTIES SPIRIT qualified decently. He could hit the Super at a price here. Race 2 (2) CASIMIR OVERDRIVE got pounded at the windows last time then tripped out to win. There's a good chance he can work out a similarly good trip here. (3) SENOR GRANDE drops and gets McNair, so he's on my Pick 5 ticket. (6) NINOSCREDIT will likely be the early leader, but I doubt he lasts for more than a small share. (1) BEACH BOY goes for the Giles/Roy trainer/driver combo who almost pulled off an upset in the opener here Thursday. If this horse takes money at the windows, he is probably live. Race 3 (1) A BOY NAMED SUUZZ goes to Moreau off the claim and he is a rare horse that seems to love post 1 at this track; top call. (4) SMALLTOWN TERROR was live last week and was closing in at the wire. I expect another sharp try here now that Gilmour seems to have him figured out. (2) SUNDAY POKER moved up in the Weller barn and he's another in with a good shot to hit the board here. (3) CHARMBO ORBIT usually is left with too much to do late. Another small share is probably in the offing for him here. Race 4 (1) EAST END got fried on the rim Monday night but he draws the rail here so he can bounce back. (3) TWOMACSONESHADOW got too far back at the start to have any hope but he moves in a few spots now and he could be a live longshot in this spot. (8) FIRST CAR raced okay near an insane pace Monday night. He has some appeal here. (4) THORN IN YOUR SIDE was involved in a suicidal early pace and he paid for it. He can go better in this spot and make the ticket. Race 5 (4) JK COWBOY was flying late last time, but he was too far back. Roy should have him moving earlier here; top call. (2) ROUGH TRADE went a huge trip to win here three starts back and he has held his form since; using. (7) CINNABAR DRAGON took a lot of action last time and he was live. He is another that can pop here as is (8) APHRO STAR, dropping back into a claimer. This is a spread race for me. Race 6 In another race with several possibilities, I'll side with (1) KENDRAS COCO, who raced tough last time only to be nailed by a sharp closer in deep stretch. (8) GIVE ANGEL CREDIT appears to be the only other leaver here, so he could get a good trip racing near the lead. (4) LEGEND WITHIN might be the best closer in the race, so if he is in range at the 3/4, he is in with a shot here. (3) KUIL DEVA is always coming too late it seems; use underneath. Race 7 (7) ETRUSCAN HANOVER is a horse that makes any race he's in tough to bet because “good” Etruscan will demolish this field and “bad” Etruscan will gallop most of the mile and you really have no way of knowing which one will show up. I'll give him the nod, but also use class-dropping (8) JANGONE and freshly-claimed (3) POP I on pick 4 tickets. (1) CUE HALL has cycled back to his best form and he should make the Super ticket at a minimum here. Race 8 (3) E L WILD SPIRIT made a huge recovery last time after bobbling entering the last turn. If he can hold it together the entire mile this time, he can beat these. (6) COBALT MAN is on a nice roll, but he goes for trainer Adams, who has only one winner in his past 15 starts; mixed feelings here. (7) CROCODILE CANYON raced better last week and if there is any kind of a flow to this race, he could pass them all. (5) TOMY TERROR goes first off the claim here and the short field should help his chances of controlling things. If he gets a breather, he could be tough. Race 9 (5) ODDS ON AMETHYST should have no problem with this group if he only stays flat. For protection in the late Pick 4, I'll also use (3) BIG RICH, who is the most likely to benefit if the choice fails. (1) CATCH THE DREAM should pass some of these down the lane and make the ticket. (6) FREE WILLY HANOVER is another closer that should be coming late. Race 10 (7) MYBROTHERGEORGE closed ground in a quick mile last time. He looks best here and only needs a reasonable pace to chase. (4) JEFFERSON TARE is always dangerous racing on or near the lead. (2) WINDSUN FALLS was an okay 4th here on Thursday and he can grab another slice here. (5) J J MYSTIC STORM is a great horse to use underneath in all exotic pools. (1) BUDDHA BLUE CHIP can leave in the top flight and stick around for a small slice.
