Best Bet: MAXIMUSCLE (6th) Spot Play: POP I (9th) Race 1 - $50,000 Guaranteed Pick Five Pool Race 4 - $50,000 Guaranteed Pick Four Pool PICK 5: 2,4,7/5,7/2,3/3,4,6/3,4,5,6 = $28.80 EARLY PICK 4: 3,4,6/3,4,5,6/5/1,3,6 = $36 LATE PICK 4: 1,3,6/5,6/2,5,6/5,6,8 = $54 MEET STATS: 227 - 732 / $1,361.30  BEST BETS: 32 - 70 / $127.90 SPOT PLAYS: 25 - 71 / $211.90 Race 1 (7) SICARIO was the easiest kind of winner last time in the maiden class and this is a pretty cozy non-winners of two spot here. He should repeat if he stays flat. (4) O SEA SEA really turned it around in his first start for Henriksen. I'll use him in the Pick 5, too. (2) CARSON HILL and (1) KUIL DEVA have turned into professional one-time winners, but at some point, one of them will break through for the elusive second win. For me, at this point, they are horses that take money every race that I love to bet against. Race 2 (5) BIG PETES STYLE was claimed, moved up a class, then took a new life's mark. A repeat of anything close to that mile makes him tough to beat here. (7) PRINCE GIOVANNI was closing well against the choice, but the final fraction was too quick to overcome. He has a shot here if the choice doesn't steal another 59 1/5 middle half. (6) A BOY NAMED SUUZZ was content to sit the pocket to the choice, but that move backfired when the middle half slowed to a crawl. It's hard to predict how he will be driven here racing off the claim, but he could get more aggressive which could set things up for a closer. (4) CHARMBO ORBIT looks best of the rest and should close late for a slice. Race 3 (3) ODDS ON AMETHYST trotted to a workmanlike win last week and while the water gets deeper here with the return of rival (2) WILL TAKE CHARGE, I'll give him the nod based on recency. The latter is in obvious great form and is the other one that is needed on Pick 5 tickets. (4) CATCH THE DREAM is a good one to use on the bottom of Tris and Supers in this class. (6) BIG RICH will likely face heat early here, so a small share is probably his ceiling. Race 4 (4) REGIL TIGER won again Monday night and was claimed for the sixth time in a row and goes for the leading trainer here. He will be tough again. (6) SENOR GRANDE also makes his first start for a new barn and he could sit a cozy trip in the choice's pocket here; using. (3) MYBROTHERGEORGE steps up after winning but getting claimed off Moreau. A small share is likely for him here. (2) NEEDLECREST has some upset appeal moving back to an inner post. Race 5 (6) BRANDONS GLORY was about 1/2 a stride late last week in a race where he closed powerfully. His form has been very good for several weeks; top call. (4) COWBOYS DON'T CRY goes for a new barn here, but he should get a good setup for his late kick; using. (5) TRISUN is another closer that has been coming around that merits consideration here. (3) APHRO STAR might get a much different trip here, which could result in a better result. Race 6 (5) MAXIMUSCLE comes up tagged here in a good spot; no excuses. (7) MEGO MOSS goes for a new barn coming off a failed first-over bid. His price should be better here, and he is in with a decent shot. (6) WINNING LYRIC's most recent charted line stands out but consider that he got a dream run up the inside down the lane and beat a very weak field and he will likely be overbet here. I'll play to beat him. (4) NATURAL KEMP should be closing late for a slice. Race 7 (3) MAJOR LEGACY is one I will go to here in a race that screams “upset” to me. Considering he had missed more than a full month between starts last time, his effort wasn't horrible, and he could be much better here. (6) MAC RAIDER had no shot in a very quick mile for the bottom conditioned class last time. I expect better from him here. (1) EAST END comes out of the same mile as Mac Raider and he is another that can improve sharply here. (7) JACK RACKHAM will likely be winding up from the back of the pack and passing a few horses late here. Race 8 (6) COBALT MAN is one a serious roll right now and he is hard to go against. (5) CROCODILE CANYON fires his best shot every week, but he needs a setup which he may not get in a short field. (4) KINGSLEY B tried the choice first-up and failed last time. Another slice is probably in the offing for him here. (7) THE ROADIES turned a sweet trip into a 2nd-place finish last time. He probably won't get the same trip here; small share predicted. Race 9 (5) POP I grinded out a tough win last time in his first start for Moreau and he may offer better value this time with a couple in here dropping from the top class; top call. (2) JANGONE was closing in quickly at the wire last week. She could get a better setup here which makes her dangerous. (6) GRANA PADANNO is an obvious contender on the drop, but he could get overbet here. (3) WILD AND CRAZY GUY also gets class relief here, but he may find at least one or two of the top three choices too tough. Race 10 (8) SUNDAY POKER's race in this class two starts back is good enough to beat these. He gets my nod. (6) SHIPPEN OUT won last time he was claimed, and he goes for a barn that does well in these spots. (5) JEFFERSON TARE is another to consider here who goes for a new barn in a spot which isn't the toughest. (1) BUDDHA BLUE CHIP should be good for another small share here. (10) ROCKABELLA will likely be closing from the parking lot in the lane to hit the ticket. [DRF HARNESS NEWSLETTER: Sign Up for the FREE DRF Harness Newsletter.
