Best Bet: P L JERICO (5th) Spot Play: E L WILD SPIRIT (2nd) Race 1 - $50,000 Guaranteed Pick Five Pool Race 4 - $50,000 Guaranteed Pick Four Pool PICK 5: 4,5,8/2,4,5/5,7/2,5,9,10/8 = $14.40 EARLY PICK 4: 2,5,9,10/8/2,4,5/4,5,8 = $36 LATE PICK 4: 4,5,8/1,2,4/7,8/2,4,7 = $54 MEET STATS: 76 - 250 / $458.00  BEST BETS: 13 - 24 / $53.40 SPOT PLAYS: 8 - 24 / $81.60 Race 1 (4) P L KNUCKLEHEAD was stuck inside early in the lane last time when he had some trot and that was likely a contributing factor to his swerving inside some pylons. He has raced well for Roy, so I'll stick with him here. (5) CAGEY took all the money and converted last time. He should be a big threat right back. (8) MORE THAN TALK puts in a solid effort every time and he is sure-gaited while the top two choices are not. I'll use him as insurance here. (7) STORMONT MANPOWER steps up after beating a couple of professional maidens; small share predicted here. Race 2 (5) E L WILD SPIRIT had a comeback start and he gets McNair on a driver change here which has been a huge angle at this meet. He will likely be a square price too; top call. (2) BADSTORMANYPORT sat close to fast splits then prevailed late when dropped in class last time. He should be tough here if he can get a similar trip while moving back up one level. (4) TRISUN is always around the money and tough to leave out here. (7) MONTANA BEN clicked at a big price last time, but this spot looks tougher; small share predicted this time. Race 3 (5) IL SOGNO DREAM was only 1/5th of a second off the Canadian record when winning last time. He's hard to go against here. (7) ODDS ON AMETHYST was well-driven and had every chance to go by the choice, but he simply couldn't get there. Another exacta finish is likely here. (3) ETRUSCAN HANOVER can be very good at times and when he is, he can compete at this level. He can hit the ticket here. (6) CATCH THE DREAM figures to close late for a share. Race 4 (5) BUDDHA BLUE CHIP moves to a better post following a decent effort. I'll give him a slight nod in a race with seemingly few real contenders. (2) OAKROCK EDLORADO raced better last time and Gassien will likely put him into action earlier here; using. (10) IDONTWANNABEFRIENDS is a contender by default having won at this class last time. (9) CHEYENNE FORD has the class to take a share here if he is ready coming off the shelf. Race 5 (8) P L JERICO drops to the bottom conditioned level to meet a field he should crush; no excuses here. (2) GRONK was nailed late by a class-dropping winner last time. He can make the ticket here. (3) SEVERUS HANOVER should get a steer similar to the drive two starts back with the post relief here; consider for exotics. (4) MEADOWBRANCH MEMO will probably finish in the edges again here. Race 6 (2) APHRO STAR was beat as the odds-on choice last time, but he did close well, and he looks like one of the best ones in here. (4) PRINCE GIOVANNI gets Lasix going for the Waxman barn here. An aggressive steer is likely. (5) ROCK N FANTASY should be in striking range here leaving from the middle of the gate; toss him on early Pick 4 tickets. (6) J J MYSTIC STORM finishes 4th frequently; use on the bottom. Race 7 (8) AIR GLIDER took a ton of money last week and then he set some wild and unsustainable fractions on the front before tiring. He will likely revert to a closing approach here and could pop at a price this time. (4) SUMMIT CITY TURBO just failed to hold a lead that he took in the stretch last week. He is a threat here. (5) SWAN FOR DEE has some decent miles vs. better in the claiming handicap class here. She should be right there if she behaves. (10) DEUCE DEUCE DEUCE is a consistent check earner in this class, but he's hard to love on top from the 10-hole. Race 8 (4) J K COWBOY is improving, and he gets a better post here; price play. (1) TUXEDO BAY is the one to beat having reeled off four wins in his last five starts after starting the year 0-12. (2) OFFICER JONES raced well trying to catch a loose class-dropper last time. He's in with a shot here. (5) OSBORNE SEELSTER is the likely pacesetter and he always hangs around for at least a share. Race 9 (7) NORTHERN STORMONT keeps McNair here following a strong win vs. similar; call to repeat. (8) MONEY MISSION has a race two back that puts him right there with these and he comes up tagged here; using. (2) JUDY THE BEAUTY is worth a look racing off a claim and a decent effort vs. lesser last time. (4) TORCHES ANGEL races well for Roy and she isn't out of this. She could trip out racing near the front here. Race 10 (2) HIGHPOINT CHIP makes his third start for Moreau here and two starts back he was used up early while racing in this class. A decent trip puts him right there vs. these. (7) SMALLTOWN TERROR comes off an improved effort racing against a tough class-dropper. He fits here. (4) TOM HILL will take most of the action here, but he was very sluggish last time and he is hard for me to love after watching that effort. (9) CLASSY HILL fits okay in this class and he is one to consider for the exotics at a price. (8) LUKE AND DUKE can finish on the fringes and complete the Super or High-5.
