Woodbine Harness: Horses to watch from March 28 - April 1

Thursday, March 28

DEVRIES HANOVER (NW1) Broke at the start in last and settled to the rear, moved with cover the last three-eighths and closed with good speed in super effort.

EST NON ILA DULCIE (Nw2) Sat calmly to the rear, decided to make a stretch move, rallied steadily between horses passing a good number of foes with ease.

JAGERMEISTER (NW2) Got stuck behind a dead horse to the lane, angled out, split horses and hit a good stride, albeit too late.

MANVERS SHORT CUT (CLMHCP10/15000FM) Beaten favorite was too far back entering the stretch but closed best of all as the winner got away.

Friday, March 29

WINDSUN SOHO (NW5000FM) Rallied well but had no shot following wide from 5th over in last.

CONTINUAL VELOCITY (NW27500FM) Was game but second best from the pocket chasing the odds-on favorite home in most recent outing.

KENNAIRN BUCKWHEAT (CLMHCP10/12000) Exploded home in last to win going away and can be expected to tough once more.

OCEANVIEW BINDI (NW8400FM) Went down the road as far as she could in last besting all but the short priced favorite and the miss will get it done next time out.

Saturday, March 30

ANNUITY (NW10000) Granted the speed hit the wall in late stages last time out but this gamer kept coming to win it all. He was at the absolute back of the pack and fifth over. He earned the trip to the winners circle and another look in next.

WHO DEY (NW5000) Was buried and seemingly out of it in last after a final turn shuffle but tipped from the rail, rallied between horses, ducked in late and rushed up the rail to not only win but inspire confidence in his ability to take another.

MONTE CRISTO (NW8000) Never had a chance in latest but closed fastest of all (:26.4) to pass a few foes in the stretch.

SING FOR ME GEORGE (PRF) Had poor cover sitting third over behind a gapper in last effort but hit overdrive through the lane closing in a nifty :26.1 last panel.

Monday, April 1

LOVES A CHALLENGE (CLMHCP10/15000) Chased the winner home coming at him uncovered, could not gain but held the rest gamely.

GROOM HANOVER (NW5000) Broke at the start, took back, settled, raced second over to poor cover, came wide into the lane and closed with good trot.

BELLE BOYD (BLOSSOM)SWung wide, cleared cover and closed stoutly to win going away in second leg action.

TAKE MY PICTURE (PRF) Had a tough trip racing third over behind a gapper. Tipped wide to the wire and closed best of all but had too far to come.
