Woodbine Harness: Horses To Watch for Mar. 22 - Mar. 26

Thursday, March 22

JET WASH (NW1FM) Youngster was handled carefully at the start, took up a bit and broke as another cut in her path, settled, saved to the final turn, rallied and closed with powerful strides. She should be even tougher with a little race experience.

TOUCHDOWN TOSS (NW1) Was rough at the start, tucked, sat to the third panel, pulled uncovered, grinded up steadily and hit a good stride mid lane.

GILLA DREAM (CLM10000FM) Charged home powerfully from third over to catch them all and can repeat with similar trip facing a bit better.

BOB LEE (CLMHCP10/12000) Was too far back when he hit his best stride. Finished with a sharp stretch rush but ran out of track.

Friday, March 23

RUB N TUG (NW8000FM) Got parked, challenged early, looked to tuck but the pocket closed, had to keep going used to gain the lead, yielded for the pocket, had early stretch traffic, cleared late but did not have enough left. A better trip could get her home.

MINTOES (CLMHCP15/20000) had too far to come but closed with good speed. A drop in company, a better trip--either could get him home.

ARDOR LOCKE (NW13000FM) Had to weave through stretch traffic, ducked in when the rail opened mid lane and had enough to indicate she could be more successful with straighter late route to the wire.

DO ME HONOR (NW21000FM) Won going away from third over and can take another with same kind of move.

Saturday, March 24

MELVYN (SPRING) Cleared late, finished fast to nail second in first leg action of the Spring Pacing Championship and has to be respected rest of the way.

CLASSIC ROCK NROLL (SPRING) Had the best pace of all finishing up in his first round division and :25 2/5 last panels have to be respected.

ROCK ON PRECIOUS (NW5000) Gobbled up ground through the lane from 3rd over in a poor flow to nail them all and can step up expecting another good performance.

IDEAL CHOICE (NW14000) Was a pocket rocket shocker last time in a variant buster mile and cannot be ignored in any of next few efforts.

Monday, March 26

GIDDY UP CAM (NW1/3YO) Rushed out to the top, set a fast clip while hard to contain, tired by the mid stretch. Should come around and be easier to rate soon.

ST LADY MORGAN (BLOSSOM) Rushed up quickly coming uncovered, challenged and blew by impressively to humble her division in first round action.

EZ OTTO (NW2) Came home strongly from an impossible 3rd over spot as the winner opened up tons of daylight. Kept coming and made in close at the end. A better trip, less speed up front. Either one makes this beaten favorite a winner in next.

IMMINENT RESPONSE (NW20000) Left, tucked, came out second over behind dull cover coming to the third panel, rallied gamely in three horse battle to wire and just missed. Do not ignore in next race or two.
