WHO DOESNT (CLMHCP10/15000) Charged home with a dynamic stretch run to nail second in last.
J M DECEPTION (NW1FM) Made a game three move effort in last to nail the win at 8-1 and has a license to take another.
MAMASAIDSO (CLMHCP10/15000M) Jogged in a front stepping victory in last and had plenty left.
RASHABET (CLMHCP10/12000) Rushed up uncovered in last, engaged the speed a long way, wore that one down but was outkicked by a tripped out horse.
Friday, February 1
STAYOUTOFMYAFFAIR (CLMHCP15/20000FM) Fanned very wide into the lane and closed well but had too far to come.
REIBERCROMBIE (CLMHCP15/20000) Was all wrapped up and an easy winner in last. A repeat looms on the horizon.
AMAZING QUEST (CLMHCP15/20000) Found himself in an impossible spot in a slow moving outer flow as the leader (and eventual winner) rambled along. This beaten favorite finished willingly but the race was long over when he got into gear.
KENDRA HANOVER (NW2) Beaten favorite was nailed in the late stages while going down the road over a tiring track and can atone in next.
Saturday, February 2
MUTINYONTHEBOUNTY (NW3) Sat on the rail, broke past the half, took back, followed wide in the lane and closed well. Deserves a look in next race or two.
BURNIN MONEY (NW40 Was buried by the lane, kicked off the rail, got steppy in close quarters, settled, closed late at 43-1 and might have more to offer.
STRIKING LINDSEY (NW8000) Left, tucked, sat in, tipped in the lane, searched between horses, found a route and proved gamest in 4-horse photo and may be able to nail another.
URGENTLY (NW5000) Was behind a small wall of horses mid lane, angled out, found clearance and closed willingly but the winner had gotten the jump.
Monday, February 4
RIDING WITH P (CLMHCP20/30000) Was looped off the gate, got parked uncovered, challenged the beleagured favorite a long way and tired.
HOT ART (NW1) Rallied late, looked bold but ran out of room with more in his sights.
ARPEGGIO HANOVER (NW2) Trailed to the stretch, rallied willingly up the inside at 60-1 and a better post might be enough to light up the board.
DAPPER DENZIL (CLMHCP10/12000) Followed an early wide flow into the long stretch, rallied between horses, loomed for more in the late stages but flattened on the wire.
Best Bets
CLASSIC BRYCE went to the sidelines after tanking in the 2012 Canadian Triple Crown, and has worked solidly for a trainer who's begun the meet with a bang. The beautifully-bred son of Grand Slam is out of G2 turf stakes winner Classic Stamp, who's the dam of a grass winner. SEEKINGTHEDIAMOND ended a streak of seconditis when he romped in a recent maiden special around two turns on the grass at Churchill. The late bloomer possesses a fitness edge on most of these, and should be in the thick of the battle.
