Woodbine Harness: Horses to watch from Dec. 1 - Dec. 6

Monday, December 1

MEADOWVIEW ARNY (CLMHCP12/15000) was the only wire to wire winner on the card last time out and has to be considered in next.

SHARK LEAP HANOVER (NW1/3YO) broke his maiden with big stretch rally and has to be given a long look in next race or two.

VAL AMERICA (CLMHCP8/10000) rushed to the lead, put early pressure away, faced the winner's pressure in the lane and was second best on night made for late closers.

VAGUE TRACES (NW1/2YO) was on the rail and seemed raging with pace, tipped, skipped a step, righted quickly and came home strong between horses.

ORDER BY COMMANDER (CLMHCP12/15000) left, found a tuck, pulled to the half, rallied uncovered, challenged the last turn, took the lead in the lane and dug in but could not last at 17-1.

Thursday, December 4

AHEAD HANOVER (NW1/2-3YOF) was out to the lead, yielded, got shuffled, sat raging heading home but had to wiggle through traffic. Finished willingly and cannot be ignored in next.

DRAGON WAVE (NW2) yielded the early lead, sat pocket, cleared way too late and had lost his momentum. Would have been a late factor if he cleared early.

CROWNINGCREST (NW2) went down the road at his own clip on an open lead and tired just enough to lose to the late closing favorite in the last steps.

HOW TWEET IT IS (NW2) trailed to the lane, hit a new speed heading home, closed well to the late stages and was in traffic in the deeps stretch costing him a chance at more.

Friday, December 5

EAGLE MOLLY (NW2FM) left, tucked, pulled and brush, had an open lead, dug in while tiring but was nailed on the wire. Can take one if a bit tighter in the late stages.

STUARTS DYNASTY (NW2) was on the rail and seemingly shuffled out by the lane but rallied strong through the stretch, persevered and was rewarded with the win. Seemed to have something left and would be no surprise if he got another.

PALM BEACH (CLM25000FM) finished with a full head of steam and ran out of track in last.

MACHNBYRD PRINCESS (NW3000FM) made three moves, had aim, tired, drifted in the lane, dug in gamely but it was too much to ask--this time.

SWINGING CAMI (NW2FM) put in a game third over effort in last and earns a long look in next outing.

Saturday, December 6

GD AIRLINER (NW18500) finshed strong from a distant second over in last and just missed.

CHAMPAGNE SHOWER (NW3FM) had good pace at the end of the mile but was much too far back to allow it to matter.

VANCE BAYAMA (NW2) closed gamely navigating through traffic in latest and earns long look in next.

BOOMBOOM BALLYKEEL (NW4) put in a wicked last panel but sometimes even :26 4/5 is not enough to make up a huge deficit.

DONAU (NW7000) was a beaten favorite in last but not by much. Had to come uncovered to the third panel, tucked the pocket, rallied gamely but was a step too late and just missed.
