Woodbine Harness: Friday 4/12 Analysis

Race 4 - $75,000 Guaranteed Pick Four Pool

Best Bet (2 - 4 / $8.40): STAGE IT RIGHT (4th)

Spot Play: AMIGO DE GRANDE (6th)

Race 1

(2) BURNIN MONEY gelding takes a big drop in class and is sharp; versatile.  (1) R RAISED EMOTIONS four-year-old trotter draws the rail, put in a good effort last out, and should improve in his second start off a long layoff.  (3) GUILTYWITHANEXCUSE five-year old made a miscue last out but probably has a class edge on the field if he stays trotting.

Race 2

(6) NOWUCIT NOWUDONT four-year-old gelding is razor sharp and looks to be trotting up a storm late. (3) HOLY HALIBUT drops out of the preferred and will probably set the fractions up front.  Gelding is racing consistently and could get the jump on the top choice.  (1) STAR PHOTO well bred trotter is the sleeper in the race making his second start for the top trainer and should be in line for a ground saving trip; fires late.

Race 3

(1) ROLANDS SEEHORSE six-year-old was on the verge of finally getting a victory before some breaking issues got in the way.  Gelding would be a big threat if he stays trotting.  (3) QUARTER BAYAMA closed nicely last out to get the victory, faces a similar field, and should be in a great spot turning for home.  (8) WORTHY ADVANTAGE gelding was used aggressively last out and put in a nice effort.  Eight-year-old will need to fire for position early for his best chance.

Race 4

(1) STAGE IT RIGHT mare takes a good drop in class, draws the rail, and looks to be pacing faster than the field.  (5) ARDOR LOCKE seven-year-old pacer doesn't look like much on paper but also drops in class, and with the right trip could be a threat.  (2) WISKYWISKY NANCY O mare was to close to a torrid pace last out after blasting off the gate and should be in line for a much easier trip.

Race 5

(5) MACH A WISH mare closed up nicely from a very tough spot last out and drops down in class for a hot trainer.  (3) MACHLEEN mare has been racing gamely against some tough opponents and looks to be in a great spot to do some damage.   (7) WARRAWEE LIMELIGHT mare has been hitting the board with consistency but looks to lack stamina late; use underneath.

Race 6

(2) AMIGO DE GRANDE gelding has a lot of things going for him in the race including post relief and facing much easier; threat.  (1) HERES THE MAGIC gelding doesn't win very often but he does hit the board and looks to be in a great spot to get a piece.  (8) MARGARITA MAN six-year-old trotter is sharp right now for the top trainer but looks to be facing tougher and would need more.

Race 7

(8) DOCS HOSS five-year-old comes off a scratch but has tremendous ability if he's ready and should offer a big price.  (7) FIRST IMPRESSION never got into the mile last out but now makes his first start for Allard who is lethal in this scenario.  (1) DUKE DID IT gelding draws the best post and has been racing gamely.

Race 8

(1) BAROCKEY mare was vicious last out in a wire-to-wire victory digging in late to stave off a game opponent.  If the 4-year-old should get a breather up front the rest of the field is in trouble.  (6) OCEANVIEW BINDI put in a real good effort last start just couldn't get past the top choice grinding first up and has post advantage on a few other rivals.  (10) GREYSTONE LADYLIKE could be the horse to beat but is saddled with the worst post.  If the mare can get into the mile early she would be a threat.

Race 9

(2) PALM PATROL mare is facing her softest field in a very long time, gets a great starting spot, and might try and control the pace upfront; big chance.  (3) DELICIOUSLYNAUGHTY mare was used hard last out and held on well to finish second.   (4) THE SUMMER WIND mare is just been racing evenly but does look to be in a spot where she can be competitive.

Race 10

In a race I consider to be the most difficult to handicap (9) HOLIDAY SHOPPER should offer a big price and could use some fast fractions up front to close into.  (6) TARAS JET mare has yet to put it together this year but should be in line for a good trip close to the pace.   (8) FARMERS TUITION mare has put in two lackluster efforts but finds a very weak field.

Race 11

(1) EXPRESS JET four-year-old drops back down in class and looks to be a huge threat on the lead especially if she gets easy fractions early.  (9) PETITE COURAGEUSE mare is an enigma for bettors as she races very inconsistently a big effort here would fit the pattern.  (6) BRAVEHEARTEDMILLIE mare has been racing consistently showing good late kick in her last two and would need a fast pace up front to close into for her best chance.
