Woodbine Harness: Friday 3/29 Analysis

Race 4 - $50,000 Guaranteed Pick Four Pool

Best Bet (12 - 27 / $40.90): GREYSTONE LADYLIKE (10th)

Spot Play: WISKYWISKY NANCY O (11th)

Race 1

(3) DOLCE DUCCI had post nine last week and made a break. The start before he found the winner's circle and draws much better this week. He comes out of Moreau's barn and is a top contender. (1) MAX MONEY raced very well last week to find the wire first. He draws better this week and is capable at this same level. (9) NOW YOU SEE HIM drops back into a claimer where he's most competitive. He does have terrific gate-speed and should be well positioned in the early going. Expect to see decent odds of him.

Race 2

(4) ADDYS WAY has been terrific this season with a 4-4-0 record from eight starts. She's classified accordingly once again and is the horse to beat. (7) PLAY AT WYNN got away too far back last week and had to settle for fourth. With a better trip, she's very capable in this class. She doesn't have the best record this season and I believe she'll offer decent value. (8) STAGE IT RIGHT has been much better in his last two starts and has been finishing her miles very well. With a clean trip, I think she's a player.

Race 3

(9) LADY AT BAT didn't leave the gate last week, which caught me by surprise. She has gate-speed and began from post one.  I hope that comes into play this week because she has enough speed to win. She'll likely draw more attention too because she comes out of Allard's barn. (3) OAKLEA UPTOWN raced very well last week to finish second. I feel the class last week was a tougher field than this week. She once again should provide value. (5) CAN I SAY posted a very encouraging qualifier over Flamboro's half mile track. She's very versatile and I think she's capable of being top three.

Race 4

(5) MACH A WISH drops down in class once again and this class should suit her much better. She draws in the middle of the gate and I feel she can handle this group. (6) D GS TINKERBELL moved into the Moreau barn last start and found the winner's circle very easily. She does move up in class, but I feel she can handle the challenge. (8) GOODBADANDDEUGLY N has been racing very well in her last two starts. She has gate-speed, which will likely come into play and she comes out of the Johnson barn.

Race 5

(7) TROTTING R T has been the post time favourite in both of his last two starts and has failed to deliver. I'm hoping that will change this week. I'm looking for value and looking for a rebound effort. He'll need the right trip. (8) DESIGNER GENES has been racing very consistent this season. This is a level where's been most competitive at and is an obvious option for the exactor. (2) ELMO ROCKBOTTOM ships in from London after a pair of wins. He's got a good on-the-board record this season, draws well and I think he can be top three.

Race 6

(8) FIRST IMPRESSION has won two straight at this level and now debuts for new trainer Fine. He's won four of eight starts this season and once again likely will be the post time favourite. (2) CARDINAL ZIN has finished second in three of his last five starts. He draws inside, comes out of the Moreau barn and has been very competitive in this class. (5) AMAZING QUEST moves into the Shepherd barn, who's a very capable trainer. This horse is an obvious pick for the triactor with his solid record this season.

Race 7

(5) QUATER BAYAMA made a break last week and finished second the week before in this class. This race is tough to predict, but he's a top threat and very versatile. (9) ROLANDS SEEHORSE debuts for new trainer Lalonde. This horse is winless this season, but has hit the board in six of eight starts. He's a good option for the exactor and triactor. (7) WORTHY ADVANTAGE has been very consistent in this class and should provide decent odds. Last week he went a tough trip and still stayed for second.

Race 8

(5) LADY LATTE raced from off-the-pace last week finished second. She's winless this season so far and I'm looking for a better effort this week. At this level, she's very capable. (3) WARRAWEE LIMELIGHT is a good option if you're playing the exactor or triactor. Although, I don't think she can win at this level, she draws inside, has good gate-speed and is a contender. (1) MEMUMSNOTNICE gets post relief and comes out of the Johnson barn. That's the main reason for my selection and Waples can dictate the trip from post one.

Race 9

(4) GUNGA WIN has won three of her last four starts and remains at the same level. He draws well and is the obvious choice for the win. (3) ILL BE THERE has a good record this season. He hasn't been at his best lately and I'm looking for a rebound effort. Montini's barn has also been very good this season. (10) TYMAL COLOSSUS draws the outside but has good gate-speed. He's finished in the top two in four of his last five starts.

Race 10

(4) GREYSTONE LADYLIKE is the horse to beat in here, in my opinion. She's got a great on-the-board record this season and draws well. (2) DIDRICKSON has been in the top three in six of nine starts this season and drops out of the Fillies & Mares Preferred level. (3) CONTINUAL VELOCITY also has a solid record this season and gets Jamieson in the bike once again. She has terrific gate-speed and should be well positioned in the early going.

Race 11

(2) WISKYWISKY NANCY O returns to this circuit and is at the bottom level. She draws well and this is a wide-open event. I'm hoping for a price and I feel she's very capable. (4) KEYSTONE JUBILEE has been much better in her last three starts. She has good gate-speed and gets Zeron in the bike. (7) CARDS THAT COUNT also return's to this circuit after a win at Western Fair. She's won at a higher level in the past on this circuit and with the right trip, I think she can be top three.
