Woodbine Harness: Friday 3/21 Analysis

Race 4 - $50,000 Guaranteed Pick Four Pool

Best Bet: ADDISON BAY (10th)

Spot Play: MO DEBRA (3rd)

Race 1

(5) K D BELLA certainly looks like she has the most speed in this field, but will have to mind her manners. (9) MISS EVERYTHING qualified very strong with a solid final frame. She appears ready in her first career start. (6) LAUGHING KING comes out of the Baillargeon barn, draws well and drops in class.

Race 2

This is a very light field, but (2) HORSESHOE TAVERN qualified well both times for trainer Wallace. She looks like she's ready to drop multiple seconds. (4) TWIN B CHARMING closed well last week for trainer Gillespie. She has the speed and is capable of improving. (3) POLKA DOT gets much needed post relief and should benefit from that. She enjoys racing from behind and expect a price.

Race 3

(7) MO DEBRA comes out of the Riley barn, which has been terrific on the WEG circuit this season. He's versatile and classified accordingly. (6) PROTEGE SEELSTER hasn't missed the board in his last two starts, comes out of the Johnson barn and has tons of back class. (8) ZORGWIJK JOCK is fresh off a win, has been racing at his best as of late and comes out of Moreau's barn.

Race 4

(6) DUKE DID IT is always a prime threat at this level and now enters the Herlihy barn. (5) MISTER ICON has won two straight, including at this level last week. He draws well and will offer a low price. (7) THE BIG BITE tends to be inconsistent, but he comes out of the Puddy barn, gets Jamieson in the bike and is capable of stepping up on this circuit.

Race 5

(9) DREAMFAIR BOGART is certainly due for a win. He's always competitive in this class and is back on a seven-day rotation. (7) SEE R CHIN WIN has the speed and likely will offer a price. She's versatile and should be even better in her third start back. (2) TWIN B CRUISER draws inside, is fresh off a win and has a terrific record this season.

Race 6

(8) RUB N TUG drops in class once again and should be able to handle this group. (2) DREAMFAIR ECLIPSE draws inside and has a patented closing kick. If honest fractions are offered, I like her chances even more. (9) LIVE TO DREAM has hit the board in three of her last four and enjoys being put in the race.

Race 7

(1) TRAMA UNIT finished third at a higher level last week, gets major class relief and blessed with post one. (5) WARRAWEE LIMELIGHT adds lasix for the first time. She comes out of the Gillis barn and is a much better mare than she's been showing. (3) OCEANVIEW BINDI draws inside, has gate-speed and raced very well to finish third at this level last week at high odds.

Race 8

(3) ROCK N ROLL XAMPLE draws well and has won two straight, including a sizzling 1:51 4/5 victory last start. (8) LIGHTS GO OUT was the heavy favourite last week, but self-destructed. She's playable in here with MacDonell once again at the helm. (1) HERESTOJESSICA gets the rail and raced much better last week. She enjoys leaving the gate and comes from top connections.

Race 9

(8) SOUTHERN ROCK closed very well last start in the debut for O'Sullivan. She can only improve off that effort this week. (1) MICHELLES DIAMOND gets needed post relief and failed as the favourite last week. I'm looking for a turnaround effort as she has proven to be a top candidate at this maiden level. (4) DEUCES FOR CHARITY comes from a high percentage trainer and has hit the board in her last two starts.

Race 10

(8) ADDISON BAY is clearly the horse to beat after winning three straight at this level. (7) MARQUISE DE SARAH comes from a high percentage barn, is fresh off a win and has been a main threat at the top level for many weeks. (3) ST LADS PEEPER comes out of the Wallace camp, draws well and has hit the board in each of her last two starts.

Race 11

(10) MISSEVIL tends to get hot behind the gate, so she will likely race off-the-pace. Even with post 10, I think she's capable of winning. She won't get away the best, but I had a hard time finding a filly that's capable of beating her. (2) LADY VALENTINE draws inside, gets McNair and has been racing very consistent for many weeks. (6) VIOLET BAYAMA closed very well last week and is generally a top threat at this level. She's versatile and likely will offer a price.
