SPOT PLAYS: 11 - 31 / 117.60

Race 1

(6) MIGHTY NICKY trotted a solid back 1/2 to win his November 30th qualifier and he fits well here. I'll give him the nod over another comebacker, (2) MAJESTIC PRESENCE also comes off the shelf and looks ready to deliver a sharp effort. Notice that she has won more than 25 percent of her 2017 starts. (1) KAMIKAZE LINDY has put together two solid tries in a row and he has coming back to form, so I'll use him in the Pick 5. (9) PRESQUILLE is one that can pass a few late and fill the bottom rung of the Tri or Super.

Race 2

(1) KIWI FOCUS N left hard, took a tuck, then fell victim to a bad shuffle while loaded with pace. The good news about missing a check is that she gets to drop into a much easier spot here; top call. (5) ARTISTIC MADISON was flying late and she is worth a look for the exotics here. (2) BAD NIGHT MARE is a threat to land in the pocket at the outset which would give her a good chance to take a big piece of this. (7) THIS DRAGON ROCKS steps up off a narrow loss, but the late kick may not be as potent against some of these better mares.

Race 3

(2) APRIL ROSE hasn't earned a check in three starts, so she gets to drop to the lowest conditioned class here where she should be tough. (1) GLENCOVE ZANI was persistent in taking a new life's mark last time and he should be a square price here again; using. (4) WILLYORWONTHE should be a threat racing near the front with McClure driving. (7) STREAMSONG should be closing late for a slice.

Race 4

(5) SR BEACH BABE raced tough first up last time, but that's not her trip. If she can work out an easier journey, she can beat these. (6) BOURBON SEELSTER almost lasted vs. better. She could take these all the way on the front end. (4) CAYO LOCO gets post relief so she should be positioned a bit better to make her late charge here. (8) MISS COCO LUCK isn't out of it racing in this class, but her form has tailed off of late and she is a better bet to finish on the fringes here.

Race 5

(5) LAY LADY LAY won two starts back in this class and dropping back down and drawing a good post gives her every chance here. (4) EXHILARATED also drops and is in with a good chance here. (8) LYONS RIVER PRIDE was close at this level two starts back, but she will have her hands full with the top two here; small share predicted. (3) BUTTERMILK HANOVER steps up off a sharp win, but she will likely revert to a closing style here and pass a few of these late to take a share.

Race 6

(1) KAMERAN HANOVER gets Christoforou back here and together they have raced well from inside posts in the past; top call. (3) BLAMEITONTHEWHISKY was a perfect trip winner last time in this class, but the way McNair has been going, it isn't out of the question that he works out the exact same trip here and comes away with the same result. (9) MAJESTIC KAT steps up off two straight wins a class lower, but she can make the ticket against these using her good closing kick.

Race 7

(3) MANHATTAN AGAIN paced her back 1/2 in 55 flat last time and with post improvement here, she should be able to enter contention earlier; slight nod. (2) TRAFFIC JAM is another strong closer that should benefit from some early action in this 12-horse field. (7) COULD DIVA raced well to just miss in the first leg of the series. Use her in both Pick 4's. (10) TEACHERS VET may be the best one in here, but I don't see her getting pushed to the limit here from this post with a win in leg one already in her pocket.

Race 8

(2) MISTER HERBIE had more than a month between starts last time, but he finished fast and now he drops several levels to face a field he should crush. (4) ITS HUW YOU KNOW couldn't touch a strong class-dropper last time, but he did stick around for 2nd. A similar fate likely awaits him here. (1) RAMAS LAST SON is another that comes off a good effort racing near the front. He can take a slice off an inside following trip here. (8) MAXIMUSCLE bounced back at a huge price to win in his second start racing out of trainer Auciello's barn, but these are tougher; small share predicted.

Race 9

(6) L A DELIGHT turned her season around when the more aggressive Henry took over the driving duties three starts back. She can take another here. (5) WITCH DALI is right there every week and she is the main threat again. (3) WHISTYS PARADISE has never been better and she's worth a look for the bottom slot of the Tri here. (2) REQUEST FOR PAROLE is another that is always around the money who should make the ticket.

Race 10

(4) SOUTHWIND ION got room just in time last week and she sprinted up the pylons to get the win. She may not get as good a trip here, but she is sharp and can take another. (2) BAD IN PARADISE raced well enough to win, but the choice tripped out on her helmet throughout, then nailed her right on the wire. She is a top contender here. (3) SODWANA BAY missed a week which could dull her speed a bit. I'll use her on the bottom here. (10) WINDSONGMAGNIFIQUE is dangerous going for trainer Fellows off the claim, but post 10 may be too much to overcome in this field. (6) DRY CREEK IMAGE looks best of the rest for High-5 players.
